BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an Institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster located at Faridabad, with the mission to conduct innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into products to improve human health.
This recruitment is to fill up the vacancies of BRIC-THSTI under the following projects.
Project Research Scientist-III (Medical)
Number of the post : 01
Name of the Project : Graded Risk-based Assessment for Screening and Prevention of Placental disorders (GRASPP) - A Randomized Controlled Trial Evaluating a Two-Step Contingent Screening Strategy for Great Obstetric Syndrome
PI : Dr. Nitya Wadhwa
Emoluments : Rs. 93,000/- plus HRA
Age : Up to 45 years
Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience : M.D./ MDS/ MPH/ Ph.D. or equivalent degree with basic degree as MBBS/ BDS from a recognized university, including the integrated PG degrees, with three (3) years’ of post qualification experience in clinical research.
Desirable :
• Experience in clinical research or related field.
• Good writing skills as well as verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills including proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and ability to manage competing priorities.
Job profile
The candidate selected for the said post will act as Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) and will be leading the study team and will be primary point of contact for operational aspects of implementation of the clinical trial activities from study startup to completion of study, ensuring compliance with GCP and applicable guidance. CRC will be the primary link between study coordination unit and study investigators. CRC will be responsible for :
• Supervising all study site activities such as enrollment, consenting, administration of tests, CRF filling and training.
• Ensuring that study is conducted in accordance with study protocol, standard operating procedures, Good Clinical Practice, and applicable guidelines.
• Providing input and/ or developing study related material such as clinical operations plan, SOPs, CRF completion guidelines, informed consent, study logs/forms and other study related documents
• Supporting the submissions for relevant government/ ethics approvals
• Developing training module and planning the initial and retraining sessions for the research study staff along with the site CROs.
• Structuring and supervising compliance for the study management plans
• Ensuring compliance with the project requirements and cascading the issues/ updates to the relevant stakeholders
• Supervising the site preparation, study implementation at site and ongoing study and QC activities to ensure good quality of study data
• Reviewing protocol deviations and loss to follow up to ensure quality data is delivered
• Communicating with investigators at THSTI and site investigator for tracking patient recruitment and progress to study timelines; maintaining and reporting metrics for clinical site performance
• Providing input and support to maintain appropriate documentation for adverse event safety monitoring, and collaborating in submission of safety reports to sponsor, Ethics Committees and other applicable authorities
• Willing to undergo training, conduct training and monitor study team performing of Neuro developmental assessment of infants
• Liasoning with all stakeholders and IECs of all sites
• Providing support to site team to prepare for clinical audits and to respond to audit findings conducted by internal QA and external agencies.
• Supervising the data management progress with data manager and the DM team
• Work with coordinating PI to ensure that the trial is meeting its targets, is producing meaningful output and to predict and plan, any changes that warrant requests to changes in protocol, funding, or timelines
• Keeping stakeholders informed on study progress, risks and accomplishments, share reports, etc.
• Knowledge of adverse medical event investigation, analysis, and reporting procedures and standards
• Any other work as assigned by PI. The selected candidate may be posted at any of the following sites: AIIMS Delhi, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital Delhi, ESIC Medical College Faridabad, or THSTI Faridabad, with occasional visits to the other sites as required.
Project Manager

Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience : • Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences / Veterinary Sciences/ Pharmacology / Allied disciplines from the recognized university.
• Minimum three (3) years’ of post-qualification experience in managing research projects, preferably involving animal studies, vaccines, or infectious diseases in research institute or industry.
• Proven ability to coordinate projects, including timelines, reporting, stakeholder communication, and regulatory documentation
Desirable :
• Formal training or certification in GLP / GCLP / Quality Management Systems.
• Experience in handling financial documentation and audits, including utilization certificates, grant management, and interaction with internal/external auditors.
• Familiarity with CEPI, DBT, or other international funding agency requirements.
• Experience working in regulated or high-containment (BSL- 3/ABSL-3) research environments.
• Project management certification (PMP®, PRINCE2®, or equivalent).
Job profile
• Oversee quality assurance and GLP compliance for all preclinical and animal model studies under the CEPI AMN grant.
• Manage data integrity, documentation, and archival in accordance with GLP/GCLP standards.
• Coordinate project planning, timelines, reporting, and stakeholder communication with CEPI and partner laboratories.
• Ensure regulatory and ethical compliance, including audit preparedness and deviation/CAPA management.
• Support financial monitoring and audit processes, including documentation, utilization tracking, and coordination with auditors
Technical Officer-I

• Certificate in BSL-3 / ABSL-3
• 2 years of research experience in preclinical vaccine trials.
• Knowledge of biosafety practices, PPE usage, and SOP- based experimental procedures.
• Familiarity with animal ethics guidelines (IAEC/CPCSEA) and humane handling of laboratory animals.
Job profile
• Perform animal experiments for vaccine evaluation under BSL- 3/ABSL-3 containment, including dosing, challenge, and clinical monitoring.
• Assist in animal husbandry, welfare monitoring, and humane endpoint implementation.
• Support sample collection, necropsy, and decontamination procedures as per SOPs.
• Ensure strict adherence to biosafety, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate experimental records, logs, and facility documentation.
Technical Officer-I (PMN Assay)

Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience : Post-Graduation degree (MSc / MVSc / MTech/ MPharma) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Veterinary Sciences, Laboratory Animal Science, or related disciplines from the recognized university with two (2) years of post-qualification research or industry experience.
Desirable :
• Formal training or certification in GLP / GCLP / Quality Management Systems.
• Hands-on experience in virology and immunology laboratory techniques, including virus culture and titration assays (TCID₅₀).
• Practical knowledge of drug screening assays such as MIC₅₀/ IC₅₀ determination.
• Experience in immunological assays including ELISA, ELISpot, and basic flow cytometry (FACS) operations.
• Familiarity with biosafety practices, SOP-based workflows, and laboratory documentation.
Job profile
• Perform virology assays, including virus propagation, TCID₅₀ determination, and drug efficacy assays (MIC₅₀/IC₅₀).
• Conduct immunological assays such as ELISA, ELISpot, neutralization assays, and flow cytometry.
• Maintain accurate experimental records, data sheets, and assay logs in compliance with SOPs.
• Ensure adherence to biosafety, quality, and regulatory requirements during experimental work.
• Support ongoing preclinical vaccine and antiviral studies through timely execution of laboratory assays.
General Terms & Conditions
a) These are the short-term positions, and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbents and tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed to these positions will not have any claim for regularization of their employment.
b) All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized Board/University.
c) The experience requirement specified above shall be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications specified for the post. The candidates are required to satisfy themselves, before applying /appearing for the selection process, that they possess the minimum eligibility criteria as laid down in the recruitment advertisement. No query will be entertained with regard to the eligibility criteria.
d) Closing date of online application will be the CRUCIAL DATE for determining eligibility with regard to age, essential qualification, experience etc.

For Ex-servicemen upto the extent of service rendered in defence forces (Army, Navy & Air force) plus 3 years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months attested service.
