Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of One Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the “Short-Term Research Fellowship” programme, under the supervision of Dr. Ashutosh Pandey, Scientist IV, BRIC-NIPGR.

Emoluments : Rs.58,000/- plus HRA
Eligibility : Candidates having Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology or a related field. Candidates with an M. Tech in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics, with three years of research experience and at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal, and fulfils the guidelines of DST-OM number DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023 are eligible to apply.
Desirable Qualification : Candidates having research experience in the areas of functional genomics, secondary metabolism, and transcriptome analysis duly supported with relevant publications in SCI journals (having at least two first-author research papers in SCI journals with more than three impact factors) will be preferred
Emoluments will be at par with similar fellowships by DBT/DST and BRIC-NIPGR fellowship norms. The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the scheme whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The position may be terminated any time by giving a month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR.
Eligible candidates are invited to attend a Walk-in-Interview at BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research (BRIC-NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi – 110067 on Monday, May 04, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. onwards. Candidates must report for registration between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. along with ta duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The application should be accompanied by self-attested copies of certificates relating to date of birth, educational qualifications, and work experience. Candidates reporting after 11:00 a.m. will not be considered for the interview.
Applicants are advised to carefully ensure that they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria before appearing for the interview, as ineligible candidates will not be entertained. All candidates must bring their completer bio-data (in the prescribed format), along with original certificates and transcripts for verification at the time of the interview. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s).
Note : Incomplete application or those not submitted in the prescribed format will be rejected. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
