Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a Project Assistant position [sponsored DST-SERB] to work in the laboratory of Prof. Jagan M R Pongubala. The primary focus of the project is to investigate the dynamics of the transcriptional control during the development of innate and adaptive immune cell types, utilizing a combination of genetic, molecular, and imaging approaches.

Qualification : MSc in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry
Consolidated Pay Per Month : Rs. 25,400
Duration : The initial appointment is for six months and can be renewed subsequently.
Applicants for the above positions should have a Master's degree (MTech, MSc, or IMSc) with aggregate marks greater than 70% or a 7.5 CGPA from a reputed university. The candidate must have 3-4 years of laboratory experience in molecular biology and cell biology. Candidates are expected to have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment, as well as an aspiration to learn new techniques and explore new scientific areas.
The interested candidates are welcomed for a walk-in interview on 30th April, 2026 from 10:30 am in the Office of The Head, Department of Animal Biology, S-3, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad. Applicants attending the interview or joining the post will not receive any TA or DA payment. Applicants should note that the appointment is purely temporary and subjected to renewal up to one year, and there is no right to claim for any regular appointment with the university.
