ABOUT INSTITUTE
Indubhai Patel College of Pharmacy and Research Centre, was started in the year 2006 with vision to provide an education in the vicinity of Charutar region, by Sanskruti Sanraksha Charitable. The institute imparts quality Pharmacy education at Graduate, Post graduate and Doctorate level with approved courses by AICTE, PCI & GTU like B. Pharm, M. Pharm and Pharm D, (Doctor in Pharmacy), respectively. We have well-equipped laboratories and excellent infrastructure and have adopted modem teaching techniques. The institute houses state of art research facility and infrastructure to support pharmaceutical Education and Research. The institute focuses on value added education, development of skill of students in addition to development of ethics and character.

ABOUT CONFERENCE
The safety concern of drug is now becoming the priority area. The thalidomide tragedy of 1060’s opened the eyes of drug regulation. In India 12 regional centers of ADR monitoring system, each covering a population of 50 million, was proposed for India. In 1997 India joined the WHO ADR Monitoring Programme based in Uppsala. Sweden. This attempt was unsuccessful and hence, from 1 January 2005. the WHO-sponsored and World Bank-funded National Pharmacovigilance Program for India was made operational. The Pharmacovigilance Programme of India started In July 2010 with AIIMS. New Delhi as NCC for monitoring ADR. The NCC was shifted from AIIMS. New Delhi to IPC. Ghaziabad on 15th April 2011 under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Government of India. This reporting system remains one of the most effective methods to detect new, serious, and rare drug reactions. It has resulted in the withdrawal of many marketed drugs due to serious ADRs worldwide. ADR reporting to national and international databases by the health care professionals is the main source of information to generate new signals. Physicians or pharmacists are the principal contributors of ADR reports to the spontaneous reporting system in India. If such kind of seminar will organized in India the in it will definitely helpful to monitor ADRs as well as it creates awareness amongst health care professionals about the importance of ADR.
