Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following positions under the project titled “Exploring the marine ecosystems for novel bioresources with human health and industrial significance.”
Post : Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Number of post : 01
Project duration : Up to 31.03.2026 or the completion of the project as per GoI orders and based on annual performance appraisal
Upper age limit : 35 years
Remuneration : 42,000/- per month + 18% HRA
Eligibility criteria : Candidates having M.Sc. / M.Tech / M.Pharm. / M.V.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects (Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Virology / Microbiology, etc.) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (relaxation will be given as per GOI guideline) with 2 years of experience in research work are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to national-level entrance test (NET/GATE/GPAT) qualified candidates. For non-NET/GATE candidates, the fellowship would be applicable as per DST guidelines.
Desirable : Minimum 01 year of working experience in cell culture handling.
Application process : Interested/eligible candidates may fill up the form Senior Research Fellow provided at the institute website (ils.res.in ) with all the necessary documents, such as copies of mark sheets, educational certificates, experience certificates, qualifying examination certificates, age proof, caste certificate (if any), etc.
All the positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
