BRIC-inStem invites applications Life Sciences candidates

The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine, Bangalore is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. BRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at BRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory.

BRIC-inStem invites applications (online) from eligible candidates for contractual position of following Scientific position in the laboratory of Dr. Palakodeti. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Project Associate - I
No of post : 1
Essential Qualification : M.Sc (Life Sciences) or M.Sc (Biotech) (3+2 years stream) or MSc Bioinformatics
Experience : Strong programming skills, genome analysis data, Phylogenetic analysis.

Project Associate - II
No of post : 1
Essential Qualification : M.Sc (Life Sciences) or Bioinformatics or related discipline + related experience of 2 years

Project Scientist-I
No of post : 1
Essential Qualification : PhD in Life Science or Master degree in technology with 3 years’ experience or Experience: Practical training in cell culture and BSL2/3 trained, basic molecular biology techniques is preferred and managerial skills
Job Description : Coordination of sample collection, laboratory work, and preparation of reports.

Lab technician
No of posts : 2
Essential Qualification : BSc/ 3 yr diploma in Engineering and Technology. Experience: Practical training in cell culture, molecular biology techniques is preferred
Job Description : Sample collection from the field, basic tissue culture and molecular biology related work.

Tenure : Contractual appointment for 11 Eleven months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.

9. The incumbent will be required to conform to the rules and regulations of iBRIC-inStem in force from time to time and follow the discipline rules of the institute failing which the contract may be withdrawn at any point in time.
