Applications are invited for the following purely temporary post on consolidated salary in the Division of ECD, for a period of one year only in the project entitled, “Assessment of viral hepatitis burden in Northeast India: A systematic study”
Post : Scientist ‘B’ (Non Medical) (Gen)
Essential Qualification :
1st class Master’s degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University with 2 years experience in related field. Or 2nd class Master’s Degree with Ph.D in relevant subject from a recognized University.
Desirable Criteria :
(i) Ph.D completed in Life Sciences or related areas.
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research experience in Viral Diseases particularly Hepatitis from recognized University.
(iii) Knowledge of Computer applications or Business Intelligence tools/Data Management.
(iv) Administrative experience in scientific project management, monitoring and evaluation including handling/monitoring projects related to communicable diseases.
Age limit (as on date) : Not exceeding 35 years. Relax-able up to 5 years for Govt. Servants and SC/ST/OBC Candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard.
Job Requirement : The selected candidate is expected to assist the Sr. Scientist(s) in the Division of ECD in planning, coordination monitoring, initiating and implementing research project(s)/activities, writing reports, preparing documents, organizing meetings/workshops, preparing minutes etc. and any other job assigned by the Head of the Division.
Salary : Rs. 44,730/- per month + HRA (Consolidated)
1. Duration: The engagement of the individual in the above posts would be on contract basis co-terminus with the duration of the project and would be engaged initially for one year but the period of his/her engagement may be Curtailed/Extended at the sole discretion of the Competent Authority.
2. The post is to be filled up on purely temporary basis. The appointment is terminable within one month notice from either side. The incumbent selected will have no claim for regular appointment, No PF, LTC and medical claim etc. are admissible, No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. Benefits of provident fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. are not applicable.
4. Relaxation in age would be admissible for a SC/ST/OBC candidate in accordance with Govt. of India rules/ordered in force.
5. Qualification / degree should be from a reputed Institution / University.
