Job Description:
Key Accountabilities

  • Leading and driving the Business Objectives assigned to the Region in line with the Company Objectives .
  • The entiregamut of operations include ;
  • Planning  the company’sBusiness in the Region  and managing the entire gamut of Sales  and Distribution Operations.
  • In coordination with Head Sales  prepares  the Area/HQ  targets for each of the key products, plans monthly sales targets and schedules sales for each member of his team of ASM/SOs.
  • Allocating Area sales budget over territories after taking into account past sales performance and
  • other relevant factors.
  • Forecasting Volume sales – monthly term and annual term. These estimates form the basis of Sales  budgeting and production planning / stock control.
  • Reviewing every month Area sales in relation to budget in the form of a monthly report to his Head Sales .
  • Ensuring effective utilization of promotional material, making valuable contribution to the formulation of merchandising plans for the year, measuring efficient implementation of the plans in  the field and undertaking regular assessment of merchandising activities as an integral part of the  total marketing operations.
  • Recommending special local media strategy for advertising products within Region  as also regularly  assessing impact of advertising in such local media.
  • Recommending trade promotions most suited to achieve the given sales objectives in  Region.
  • Ensuring efficient & proper implementation and assessment of all trade schemes in  Region  Area.
  • Ensuring proper implementation of consumer schemes within his Region.

Operational / Process


  • Ensures Joint working in Markets / customers to build up effective relationship and face-to-face selling and promotion of sale .
  • Evaluating distribution Gaps and recommending coverage plan thru stockists appointment after proper analysis and evaluation . RBM would approve the request of S1 Form submitted by ASM after proper due diligence and need for such appointment . He will also satisfy that all required statutory licenses are available with the proposed stcokists and market reputation before approval .
  • Ensuring intensive and extensive distribution of our products through company as well as thru Contract/Third party  field force if any.
  • Reviews and assesses the effectiveness of sales campaigns and programmes; takes corrective action and recommends improvement in sales planning, sales methods, market coverage and sales administration
  • Performance Monitoring of Each HQ ,product wise sales .
  • Keeps the National Sales Manager  informed as required by him on sales achieved, market conditions, competitors’ activities and the performance of his team members. Makes recommendations on sales strategy, operations and methods and reducing costs.
  • Reviewing periodically town outlet coverage and Journey Cycle frequency and recommending changes to make our selling operations more effective.
  • Implementing various field systems to enable regular flow of data in regard to secondary sales, wholesaler stock holding, retailer purchases, town sales etc.
  • Liaisoning with company branches and C.F.Agencts within his Area to ensure that optimum stocks are maintained at all times and orders are promptly executed and best of customer relations are maintaine
