The ICGEB is an international, nonprofit research organization. Established as a special project of UNIDO, it became fully autonomous in 1994 and now counts over 60 Member States. The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology provides a scientific and educational environment of the highest standard and conducts innovative research in life sciences for the benefit of developing countries.
One Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position is available in Yeast Biofuel Group in a DBT sponsored project to work on yeast metabolic engineering for production of value added compounds and next generation sequencing data analysis. Initially, the position is available for the period of one year and based on the performance of the candidate can be further extended till the project duration.
Educational Qualification :
M.Sc./ MTech in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/ Biosciences with NET/GATE
Candidates with prior research experience in yeast molecular biology/ cloning/ metabolic engineering/ protein expression and computational biology / NGS data analysis/ genomics, proteomics will be preferred.
