RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Purpose
Development, implementation & accountability for strategic research projects for new products

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
•Understanding business needs and developing a Research Plan both from Market Research perspective as well as from Product Development perspective
•Understanding HCP & Consumer/ Patient insights/need gaps through qualitative research to develop the Research Plan
•Undertaking Secondary Research as well as Primary Research
•Conducting a pitch and finalizing the Research Agencies
•Designing the Qualitative & Quantitative Market Research Plan for HCP Research, Consumer & Patient Research
•Deploy flawless operational plans to execute the research across geographies for Pan India Research Studies
•Track research studies through appropriate tools and take course correction as required
•Responsible to drive medical and market research plans for major categories in co-ordination with marketing and medical teams
•Ability to leverage scientific evidence in the Research Plan and generate insights
•Produces and analyzes local market data, identifies and tracks industry market research reports
•Conducts analysis of Consumer Research Reports, generates insights and suggests recommendations
•Ensures competitive intelligence by identifying Research Plans executed by major competitors
•Responsible for publication of Research Studies executed
•Responsible for rolling out Research Studies to the sales teams
•Preparation of quarterly input plans based on research conducted in co-ordination with team members
•Identifies and analyzes local customer needs and market research opportunities
•Visits Drs in order to test the research hypothesis
•Competitor Mapping for new product development
•Claims and ingredient research for new product development
•Developing claims and other inputs required for new product development and launch
•Ensuring adherence to Pfizer Compliance standards and Global policies both by self as well as by external stakeholders

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
•Identifying Third Parties for Medical Research as well as for Market Research Projects
•Manages the relationships with the local research and communication agencies
•Working closely with Research Agencies/ CROs to develop, validate and finalize the Research Instrument
•Developing a Multi-disciplinary Panel of Experts/ HCPs to lead the Research Projects
•Manages relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Consultants to support the Research
•Provides technical expertise, trains and motivates Field Force on Research executed for new products

Skills / Knowledge / Qualification / Experience
M. Pharm/ M. Tech with or without MBA from a Recognized University
2-5 years experience in Business Research / Market Research
•Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical information 
•Act as project champion by engaging with internal and external stakeholders
•Lead the multi-functional team to drive alignment and closure on projects Lead and manage external agencies (medical research agencies, CROs, market research agencies etc.) to deliver on the research projects
•Ability to effectively present information to management, public, doctors or sales forces in oral and written form
•Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or sales force
•Ability to undertake Market Research and use it to validate business strategy
•Should have demonstrated ability to lead communication development
•Ability to demonstrate strategic and analytical thinking expertise
•Ability to influence senior management decision making
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Good relationship building, negotiation skills and listening skills •Demonstrated leadership capabilities
