To trace the history of Jadavpur University is to trace a part of India’s freedom movement, at least from the Swadeshi Movement onwards. It was 1905 -1906. Bengal stood divided. The times were feverish.
The hegemony of the British establishment had to be challenged. Education had to play a new role in this changed scenario. It had to become a new form of resistance through which the emergent nationalist spirit could be propagated. With this in mind the National Council of Education (NCE) came into being.

A Walk-in-interview will be held in the Office of the Head, Department of Chemical Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata – 700032 on 16th August, 2017 (Wednesday) at 12.00 Noon for the recruitment of one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DST, Govt. of India sponsored Research Scheme entitled “Removal of pharmaceutical …….. Gometal nanocomposites” under the supervision of Dr. Papita Das, Principal Investigator of the Scheme, Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Jadavpur University.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering/Nanotechnology/Nano Science & Technology/Materials Science and Technology with at least 1st class marks. (GATE qualified will be preferred)
DESIRABLE: Working experience on the nanoparticle synthesis and application.
DURATION: Till the termination of the scheme.
Emolument : Rs. 25,000/- p.m. with admissible allowances.
Age : Not more than 28 yrs. (Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC/Women/Age PH candidates)
