Post: Project Assistant, Project Technician

The Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Chennai, an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India proposes to engage the services of two Siddha Pharmacists in SRRI, Puducherry. The engagement will be purely on contract basis, initially for a period of six months. The selection will be made on the basis of Walk-in-Interview to be held on Thursday, the 30th July, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Central Council for Research in Siddha, SCRI Building, Anna Government Hospital Campus, Arumbakkam, Chennai 600 106.

CSIR - Institute of Microbial Technology, Sector-39/A, Chandigarh intends to engage Research Associate/ Senior Project Fellows/ Project Fellows/ Project Asstt./Research Intern/ JRF (Project) on purely temporary basis on contract under SERB/DST/DBT/CSIR sponsored project  at CSIR- IMTECH.  However, the number of positions may vary depending upon the requirement of the Institute.  A General Panel will be operative for a maximum period of one year from the date of interview.

The interview will be held for appointment to the posts of Jr. Analyst (04) at the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) at the above address. The appointments will be purely on contractual basis and the incumbent shall have no claim for regular appointment under NDTL. The tenure of the appointment will be initially for a period of one year from the date of appointment which can be extended from time to time depending on performance. The candidates would be required to do the routine testing of samples apart from any other work assigned to them by competent authority.

The interview will be held for appointment to the post of Technical Associate (Data Management) at National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) at the above address. The appointments will be on contractual basis and the incumbent shall have no claim for regular appointment under NDTL. The tenure of the appointment will be initially for a period of one year from the date of appointment which can be extended from time to time depending on performance.

The history of the IIT system dates back to 1946 when a committee was set up by Hon'ble Sir Jogendra Singh, Member of the Viceroy's Executive Council, Department of Education, Health and Agriculture to consider the setting up of Higher Technical Institutions for post war industrial development in India. The 22 member committee headed by Sri N.R.Sarkar, in its report, recommended the establishment of four Higher Technical Institutions in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern regions, possibly on the lines of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, with a number of secondary institutions affiliated to it.
