Recruitment for Pharmacists (17 posts) under District Health & Family Welfare Samiti

The District Health & Family Welfare Samiti, Purba Medinipore will engage personnel for the position as stated below under NHM/ NUHM, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, purely on contractual basis.

Number of Vacancies : 17 [SC – 4, ST – 1, UR – 8, EWS – 2, OBC – 1, PwBD – 1]
Place of Posting : In any RH/BPHC/Municipality of the district.

Essential Criteria
1. The candidate should be a permanent resident of West Bengal and should be able to read, write and speak in Bengali.
2. The candidate should have a Two Years Diploma in Pharmacy (D-Pharma) (ALLOPATHIC) from any institute approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)/AICTE.
3. Registration Certificate must be issued by West Bengal Pharmacy Council.

Preferential Criteria
Persons holding Bachelor in Pharmacy (B-Pharma) and Masters in Pharmacy (M-Pharma) from any institute approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)/AICTE will be given additional marks.

Age (as on 01.01.2026) : Minimum 18 years to Maximum 40 years as on 01.01.2026 with age relaxation as per Govt. Norms.

Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 22,000.00 / Month

3. For Diploma in Pharmacy: Maximum 30 Marks (Proportionate Marking i.e. % obtained in the exam × 30/100)
4. Possessing Bachelor in Pharmacy (B-Pharma-Allopathic): Maximum 20 Marks (Proportionate Marking i.e. % obtained in the exam × 20/100)
5. Possessing Masters in Pharmacy (M-Pharma-Allopathic): Maximum 10 Marks (Proportionate Marking i.e. % obtained in the exam × 10/100)

General information for the Applicants / Candidates.
1. Only on-line applications will be accepted. Application forms not properly filled in or incomplete application forms are liable to be cancelled. If the online application details submitted by the applicant differ with the original testimonials, that application shall liable to be cancelled.
2. If proper signature and photograph is not uploaded at the time of online application that application shall also to be cancelled.
3. The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal and must have knowledge of local languages.
4. The essential criteria mentioned are the minimum and mere possession of the same dose not entitle the candidate to claim selection. All the essential qualification must be completed on or before the first date of online application.
5. Experience : This will be calculated after obtaining the required essential qualification for the above mentioned positions, till the first date of online application.
i) All Experience should be considered after completion of the requisite qualification. Experience during pursuing the course will not be eligible.
ii) Experience Certificate (Offer/Joining letter will not be considered) from appointing authority should mention designation, date of joining, tenure, date of resignation/retirement (if applicable) and nature of activities.
iii) Experience certificate not fulfilling the above criteria will be summarily rejected.
6. Ph.D/ M.Phil will not be included in the experience period (wherever applicable).
7. Caste Certificate issued on or before the first date of online application, by the competent authorities of West
Bengal only will be acceptable (wherever applicable).

8. Hard copy / Print copy of online registration form may be downloaded from the link “Application Print" and should be retained by all applicants for document verification purpose. Without registration form, no candidates will be entertained for original testimonials verification by the authority. No need to send hard copy / print copy of the online registration form by post.
9. On-line registration no, should be retained by all applicants for future reference. Employer is not liable to give any information regarding the on-line registration no. in future.
10. All marks must be calculated excluding marks of Additional Subject, No rounding off of marks will be granted. Proportionate marking up to 2 decimal points will be considered.
11. Marking after rounding off up to 2 decimal points will be considered.
12. (i) Last date of REGISTRATION & FEES PAYMENT: 25th November, 2026.
(ii) Full submission of APPLICATION FORM: Midnight of 26th November, 2026.
13. The candidates, if found ineligible at any stage of recruitment process, will not be called for the subsequent stages of the selection process.
14. The decision of the competent authorities regarding the recruitment is final
15. The competent authorities may cancel the recruitment process at any stage of the selection process.

Candidates must Note
1. The above mentioned posts are purely contractual in nature with initial period up to 31.03.2027 (Likely to be extended on satisfactory performance & approval of Govt.).
2. The decision of the selection will be final and binding on the candidates.
3. The tenure of engagement may be renewed on the basis of satisfactory performance and approval of state authority.
4. It is also mentioned that the eligible candidates will have to go through all stages of recruitment, if a candidate skips any stages, s/he will be disqualify immediately.
5. Duplicate application will be summarily rejected.
6. No documents will be considered to be added during verification except those for which candidate states "Applied for" in the application. Such candidates will be rejected if the specific document is not produced in original during verification.
7. Details of recruitment process will be published in the website in due time.
