Sun Pharma announced that it has received approval from the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency, ANVISA to manufacture and market semaglutide injection in Brazil for the treatment of adults with inadequately controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise.

Sun Pharma plans to launch the product in the next few days in partnership with Hypera Pharma, a leading pharmaceutical company in Brazil. It will be available as a pre-filled, multi-dose injectable pen in two strengths (2 mg/1.5 mL and 4 mg/3 mL) allowing flexible, once-weekly dosing.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA (Glenmark) today announced the launch1 of Sugammadex Injection, 200 mg/2 mL (100 mg/mL) and 500 mg/5 mL (100 mg/mL) Single-Dose Vials. Glenmark’s Sugammadex Injection is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug, BRIDION®2 Injection, 100 mg/mL of Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC [NDA 022225].

According to IQVIA® sales data for the 12-month period ending May 2026, the BRIDION® Injection, 100 mg/mL market3 achieved annual sales of approximately 1.6 billion USD.

Johnson & Johnson (J&J) has announced a proposed 5.5 billion USD settlement aimed at resolving nearly all remaining U.S. lawsuits alleging that its talc-based products caused ovarian cancer, marking one of the largest mass-tort settlement efforts in the company's history. Global pharmaceutical company Sanofi has received a Public Reprimand from the Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA) after a complaint was filed by Pfizer.

The PMCPA investigated the case (CASE/0689/08/25) and found that Sanofi had breached several rules of the 2024 ABPI Code of Practice, which sets standards for how pharmaceutical companies should promote their medicines in the UK.
