    ABSTRACT
The genetic resources and indigenous communities traditional knowledge of developing countries is being exploited by the Developed countries in the name of patents for inventions that are derived from genetic  resources. The exploitation of genetic resources and indigenous communities traditional knowledge by the developed countries in the name of patents on the inventions derived from those genetic resources is actually bio-piracy.  Protection of the TK of the local and indigenous communities appears to be one of the most debatable and complex issues. This paper brings out the role of domestic IPR constitution that looks to protect traditional system of medicine and associated TK in Indian sub-continent. Further, it attempts to validate the necessity of introduction of a national TKDL, which can be utilized as an evidence of the 'prior art' by the examiners of patent offices, nationally as well as internationally. Thus, it aims to address the concerns relating to the creation of TKDL in India.

With the advent of modern times, stress and pollution have led to major effect on rise of death toll due to chronic diseases. Such diseases are major cause of concern for the medical society. Lycopene, a carotenoid pigment found in tomatoes and its products has antioxidant properties due to the presence of numerous double bonds. Increased consumption of lycopene containing diet has been proposed to offer a protection against many types of cancers and cardio-vascular diseases. Its potential role as nutraceutical has been suggested in many studies. ABSTRACT
A severe viral illness caused by a newly discovered coronavirus was first reported in the Middle East in 2012. The virus has since been named the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV). MERS-CoV cases have been reported in several countries around the world in travelers from the Middle East., A substantial number of Indians live and work in Gulf countries. People from India also travel to Saudi Arabia as Pilgrims to Hajj. The illness has a high mortality rate. Limited human-to-human transmission has occurred including transmission to health care workers. The source of the virus remains unclear, but camels are a possible source. Since April 2012 and as of 20 February 2015, 1042 cases (including 419 deaths) of Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) have been reported by local health authorities worldwide. Laboratory confirmation of MERS-CoV infections to date has largely been by real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) of lower respiratory tract specimens. Neither a vaccine nor effective therapy against the virus is available. Treatment consists of limited to supportive care, including mechanical ventilation for respiratory failure and/or hemodialysis in the setting of renal failure. Therapeutic modalities based on monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) have shown clinical success in the treatment of many diseases.
