Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. Its basic function is to update regularly the standards of drugs commonly required for treatment of diseases prevailing in this region. It publishes official documents for improving Quality of Medicines by way of adding new and updating existing monographs in the form of Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP).

Retired Armed Forces personnel till 2002 could avail medical facilities only for specific high cost surgery/treatment for a limited number of diseases covered under the Army Group Insurance(Medical Branch Scheme) (AGI(MBS)) and Armed Forces Group Insurance Scheme(Management Information System) (AFGIS (MIS)) schemes. These medicare schemes could provide some relief to the ESM, but it was not a comprehensive scheme as compared to and available for other Central Government Employees.

Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society was registered in 1998 for implementing National AIDS Control Programme. NACP is a 100% centrally sponsored project. Secretary Health, UT Chandigarh is the Chairman of the Society, Project Director is the technical head assisted by Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, other officers and supporting staff.

This appointment will be till 31st March 2022 and can be extended further if the work is found satisfactory and continuation of National AIDS Control Program and the post is approved by NACO, Government of India. This contract service will not be considered as government service and the candidate will not submit any claim for government service in future.
