ABSTRACT
Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat gastric problems mainly peptic ulcers. Peptic ulcers are present in around 4% of the population. They newly began in around 53 million people in 2013. About 10% of people develop a peptic ulcer at some point in their life. They resulted in 301,000 deaths in 2013 down from 327,000 deaths in 1990. The first description of a perforated peptic ulcer was in 1670 in Princess Henrietta of England. H. pylori was first identified as causing peptic ulcers by Barry Marshall and Robin Warren in the late 20th century, a discovery for which they received the Nobel Prize in 2005. Esomeprazole comes under non-surgical treatment for peptic ulcers. Though it is an effective drug used for the treatment of peptic ulcers it includes some side effects such as headache, nausea, diarrhea, decreased appetite…etc., optical isomer of omeprazole is called as s-isomer of omeprazole or esomeprazole which is an improved form of omeprazole. Esomeprazole in combination with cardiovascular drugs produces potential interactions and positive effects. This review article provides an evaluation of the literature on the concomitant use of esomeprazole available. The efficacy, safety, tolerability, cost effectiveness, and patient quality of life of this regimen is discussed. A summary of the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic interactions of esomeprazole, Mechanism of action of omeprazole, as well as its effects during pregnancy are also reviewed.

ABSTRACT:
Tuberous sclerosis is a neurocutaneous syndrome with an autosomal dominant inheritance. Tuberous sclerosis has an approximate incidence of one in ten thousand to fifty thousand. Tuberous sclerosis complex Syndrome (TSCs) is a dominantly inherited disorder affecting multiple organs; caused by mutations of either the TSC1 or TSC2 gene encoding hamartin and tuber in respectively. It is characterized by the development of benign tumors affecting different body systems. The most common oral manifestations of TSC are fibromas (angiofibromas), gingival hyperplasia and enamel hypoplasia and the formation of hamartomas in multiple organ systems leading to morbidity and mortality. It is important to make an early diagnosis of TSC so that lifelong monitoring, early recognition of complications and proactive treatment can lower the morbidity and mortality rates. We report a case of 35 year old female in south India with the features of Tuberous sclerosis complex like seizures, weakness of the body, papules over the cheek, calcification noted in subependymal region in the brain and angiomyolipoma in both kidneys.

ABSTRACT
The development of the bioanalytical techniques brought a progressive discipline for which the future holds many exciting opportunities to further improvement. The main impact of bionalysis in the pharmaceutical industry is to obtain a quantitative measure of the drug and its metabolites. The purpose is to perform the pharmacokinetics, toxicokinetics, bioequivalence and exposure response like pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic studies. Various bioanalytical techniques are performed in bioanalytical studies such as hyphenated techniques, chromatographic techniques, and ligand binding assays. This review extensively highlights the role of bioanalytical techniques and hyphenated instruments in assessing the bioanalysis of the drugs.

ABSTRACT
Solubility is one of the essential parameters to achieve bioavailability of drug in systemic circulation to produce expected therapeutic response.  Nearly 40% of new drug molecules face solubility challenge. Though several techniques like micronization, crystal engineering, hydrotrophy, solid dispersion and so forth were available for solubility enhancement of poorly soluble drugs based on physical and chemical modification, prodrug approach is a vital technique amongst the other. Prodrugs are biologically inactive compound which can be metabolized in the body to produce active drug. It is estimated that currently about 10% of all world-wide approved drugs are prodrugs. This review extensively confers the role of prodrugs and the kind of promoieties used for solubility enhancement.
