Sigma Laboratories was founded in 1947 by Late Mr. Shrinivas Cowlagi and is now headed Mr. Dilip Coulagi who has over 40 years of experience in Pharmaceuticals. Sigma Laboratories is a name synonymous with quality both in India and abroad. The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, BITS Pilani is an all-India Institute for higher education. FDC is a forerunner in manufacturing and marketing of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) and Ophthalmics. FDC has also set-up globally approved, multi-location manufacturing facilities for Active Pharmaceuticals Ingredients (APIs) as well as Finished Dosage Forms. These facilities are located at Roha, Waluj and Sinnar in Maharashtra, Verna in Goa and Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. FDC markets more than 300 products in India and exports many of these to over 50 countries.

Glenmark is a leading player in the discovery of new molecules both NCEs (new chemical entity) and NBEs (new biological entity) with eight molecules in various stages of clinical development.
