About Dibrugarh University
Dibrugarh University was established in 1965 consequent upon the provisions of the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965, enacted by the Assam Legislative Assembly. It is a leading research and innovation driven University that acts as a spatial slot to configure the socio-cultural dynamics of North East India. The University hosts 175 affiliated colleges and institutes that spread over the districts of upper Assam. It is situated at Rajabheta, five kilometres to the South of Dibrugarh town and well connected by road, rails, air and waterways. The University has a vast sprawling campus (550 acres) set in bucolic and idyllic surroundings.

Vishnu Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (VIPER) was established in the year 2007 under Sri Vishnu Educational Society. Our College is situated at Narsapur, Medak (Dt) in pristine environment and inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India on 16th August'2007. It has got approval from AICTE and JNTU, Hyderabad. At present the intake for first year B.Pharmacy is 100. It has very good lab facilities and library. The institute is well connected with wireless internet round the clock. It has got good logistic support from sister institutes like BVRIT, Narsapur, Sitha Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hyderabad and Sri Vishnu College of Pharmacy, Bhimavaram

On Sept. 15, 1956, the Parliament of India passed an act known as the Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur) Act declaring this Institute as an Institute of national importance. The Institute was also given the status of an autonomous University. From this modest start in 1950, IIT Kharagpur has been engaged in a steady process of development with about 18 academic departments, five centres of excellence. the vast tree-laden campus, spreading over 2100 acres has a self contained township of over 15,000 inhabitants.

Bengal College of Pharmaceutical Science & Research was established in the year 2008 by SKS Educational and Social Trust, having an impressive campus is dedicated to develop and nurture pharmaceutical education and research. The campus gives an aesthetic and pleasant look where it will be our endeavour to produce the best graduates in learner focused environment. The institute has well stocked library, modern laboratories, offering latest technology equipment and classrooms for materializing the dream of SKS Group of Institutions to contribute more in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research.

CSIR has set up a Unit for Research and Development of Information Products (CSIR-URDIP) at Pune to work in the area of Scientific Informatics - Patent Informatics and related software and content development projects.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an ‘Institute of National Importance’. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.
