Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda (Erstwhile Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda) is an affiliating Technical University, established by Govt. of Punjab vide Punjab Act No. 5 of 2015 notified through Punjab Government Gazette-Extraordinary (Regd. No. CHD/0092/2015-2017) notification No. 5- Leg./2015 dated 12th February 2015 and registered with UGC u/s 2(f). With spontaneous upswing in demand for quality Technical Education, burgeoning pressure on the Premier Technical University of Punjab, Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, to mitigate regional imbalance in distribution of Temples of quality Technical Education in the State, for exponential socio-economic growth of the Malwa region, to bridge the gap between demand and supply of employable technical human resource, exigency for creation of a new State Technical University in Punjab was realized. Consequent on the implementation of this Act, Technical institutions of eleven districts of Punjab have been affiliated to MRSPTU with effect of 1st July, 2015 including Barnala, Bathinda, Faridkot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Mansa, Moga, Patiala, Sangrur and Sri Muktsar Sahib.

The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) has been established as an autonomous Institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India primarily with the objectives of regularly updating the Indian Pharmacopoeia (an official book for setting standards of drugs in the Country) by publishing new edition and its addenda, from time to time; National Formulary of India (reference book for rational use of generic medicines) and carrying out other related tasks such as providing Reference Substances to the stakeholders and conducting skill development programmes. The Commission also functions as National Coordination Centres (NCC) for Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) and Materiovigilance Programme of India (MvPI) for ensuring safety of patients/drugs and medical devices, respectively, in the Country.

CSIR-IIIM, Jammu is offering several skill development courses for diploma holders, graduates, people from industries in various disciplines of Biological and Chemical sciences.  Basic Knowledge generation, hands on experience in operation and maintenance of sophisticated equipments are the highlights of the course.  The main aim of these courses is to create the high-quality skilled workforce relevant to current and emerging industry need in the S&T sector through training/skilling in diverse areas at different National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). It further aims at promoting entrepreneurship through skilling, Training of Trainers and Incubation centre.

The Nagpur University was established on 4th August, 1923 with six affiliated colleges and 927 students. During 1947, the number of students increased to about 9000 accompanied by the improvement and diversification of curricula and expansion in the range of subjects. The expansion of library and sports facilities occurred during these years for the intellectual and physical well being of the students. It was in 1958 that some new Departments in Arts and Social Science faculties were opened; the major expansion, however, came in 1963 when several science and other teaching Departments were started. The Departments were shifted to spacious buildings in the main campus in 1972-73. In later years, several career oriented courses have been started viz., Business Management, Fine Arts, Mass Communication, Library Science, Physical Education, etc.

The jurisdiction of S. D. Agricultural University is Seven Districts of North Gujarat region viz., Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Patan, Gandhinagar, Kachchh and Aravalli. SDAU is established for the better development of Agriculture and allied sectors in the North Gujarat Agro-climatic Zone. The SDAU is aimed to serve the agricultural interest for the economic development of the farming community of North Gujarat region. S. D. Agricultural University has 8 colleges, 28 Research Stations and 3 KVKs in the jurisdiction.

CSIR-NBRI undertakes cutting-edge research in all basic plant science disciplines including plant systematics and biodiversity, conservation biology, environmental biology, pharmacognosy, floriculture, plant-microbe interactions, plant biotechnology, genetic engineering and bioinformatics. Development of high quality plant-based commercial products, technologies and new plant varieties is the focus of applied plant science research in the Institute.
