Project Title* : Microneedle-assisted chemo-photodynamic combination therapy for melanoma treatment integrated with real-time monitoring of cancerous lesions using thermal imaging

Project Tenure : 6 months and extendable to 3 years

Project Description : *The project objective included: Synthesis of newer photosensitizers and in-vitro exploration of its combination with chemotherapeutic agent for melanoma cell line, optimization of dose ratio with highest efficacy. Real-time monitoring of skin cancer lesions using the thermal imaging approach and optimization of dosages for effective treatment. The selected candidate will synthesize compounds, characterize and interpret spectroscopic data to elucidate structures, perform electronic structure calculations on the synthesized compounds, conduct a detailed study of photo-physical properties, maintain documentation, and write manuscripts.

Qualification : M.Sc. / M.Tech/ M.Pharm in Chemistry or equivalent in inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, or organic chemistry (GATE or NET will be preferred)
Desirable : In addition to the above qualifications, candidates with basic knowledge of programming languages, machine learning, and hands-on experience in thermal imaging are encouraged to apply.

Upper Age Limit : 35 Years

Fellowship / Stipend : 56,000 Per month + 10 % HRA (if applicable, as per rules)

Registration for PhD : Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program of BITS Pilani, subject to fulfilling the requirements of the PhD qualification process as per the institute norms.

Selection Process : Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit, experience, and the project's requirements.
