The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established as the Department of Chemical Technology on 1st October, 1933 by the University of Mumbai, through active support of industries and philanthropists. The Institute was most popularly known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first generation entrepreneurs. The UDCT grew significantly in stature and was granted autonomy under UGC regulations by the University of Mumbai and further converted in to an Institute on 26th January, 2002. Under the World Bank TEQIP programme, the Maharashtra government granted it full autonomy in June 2004. Due to the recommendations of the Government of Maharashtra and University of Mumbai, the ICT was granted Deemed University Status by the MHRD on 12th September, 2008, with all provisions of the UGC for funding and support as the state owned deemed university.

College of Pharmacy is established in 2006, with the aim to provide Pharmacy Education to remote students. The College is having its own seperate infrastructure as well as all other necessary aminities. Brahma Valley campus consisting of about 35 acres land located in a very beautiful place. The importance of this place is it is located in Anjaneri village (Tal-Trimbakeshwar Dist: Nashik)the birth place of lord Human and it is close to Trimbakeshwar Temple where one of the 12 Jotirlingas of Lord Shivas which adds the importance holiness and beauty of this areas.

Deolali is a Class 1 cantonment established in the year 1869.It is situated at a plateau of 2000 feet, surrounded by picturesque Sahyadri ranges, 200 kms away on The Central Railway from the Mumbai and 556.52 meter above the sea level. Deolali Cantonment falls under the district Nashik - an all India Hindu pilgrimage center. Deolali Cantonment is situated on the banks of river Darna and a natural position in the Sahyadri ranges of Igatpuri and Trymbak Ranges. Deolali is very popular as a hill station and a health resort in Maharashtra.
