It is my privilege and honour to share my views on the website of PGIMS, Rohtak that our prestigious Institute Pt. B.D. Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak has glorious and illustrious history. It has grown leaps and bounds since then to become the epicentre for patient care from across Haryana as well as neighbouring States. In its nascent stage, Medical College was started as guest Institute in 1960 at Medical College, Patiala.

Sree Vaageswari Educational society was established in 2003 and started Vaageswari College of Pharmacy with B.Pharmacy course in 2004 to honor SARASWATHI, the goddess of Education. Sri Padmavathi School of Pharmacy (SPSP) run by Lords Auxiliary for Rural Development Society situated at foot hills of Lord Sri Venkateswara and Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi. SPSP is the first established Pharmacy College (1997) in Rayalaseema region. SPSP ranked among NO.5 in Andhra Pradesh and NO.1 in the Rayalaseema Region. The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission is an Autonomous Body set up under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt, of India primarily with the objectives of regularly updating the Indian Pharmacopoeia by publishing new edition and its addenda, National Formulary of India and other related tasks such as preparing, certification and distribution of reference substances & National Coordination Centre (NCC) for Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI).
