Regarding the DBT project file no. BT/PR31156/MED/30/2019, DBT sanction order dated 05/10/2023 and project titled “Structural and functional characterization of human CHST11 and CHST13 sulfotransferases involved in the regulation of Metastasis and Chemosensitivity of human Hepatocellular Carcinoma” applications are invited for one post of "Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) under DBT Project’’ in the School of Biotechnology, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. This fellowship is initially sanctioned for the duration of 12 months under the DBT project on a purely temporary basis and may be extended for the next two years based on performance.

Qualifications : Essential : 1. M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life Sciences/Zoology from an Indian University/Institute with a minimum of 55% marks, and must be qualified any JRF/NET or GATE exam, and have a good academic record.
Desirable : Preference will be given to the candidates having CSIR/NET- JRF/NET-LS/GATE in Biological Sciences with research experience in Cancer Biology /Enzymology (recombinant protein expression in mammalian expression systems)/Systems Biology (Model development and data integration to models). The candidate should have excellent experience in molecular biology techniques,
Age : The upper age limit is 28 years (5 years relaxation for female, SC/ST/physically handicapped candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates)
Emoluments : As per the DBT norms of fellowship
