Since its inception in 1984, the institute has made a distinct place for itself and become a leading organization in the country engaging itself in health management research, education and training to fulfill its mission to dedicate itself to the improvement in standards of health through better management of health care and related programs.

McW Healthcare as an organization came into existence in the year 1987 as McW Pharma (P) Ltd. with its own production facility. Later in the year 2002 it changed the name to McW Healthcare (P) Ltd., a name which encompasses all the activities carried out by the organization.
