Birla Goa Campus, Goa, for the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) sponsored research project titled “Development of Enhanced Fermentative Enzyme Production through Synthetic Biology for Biorefinery Applications” (2025/0064/LS(II)/C).

Duration of the Project : 24 months
Fellowship Amount : ₹ 37,000 pm (20% HRA (as applicable)).

Qualification
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry etc.) OR Graduate/Post Graduate in Degree in Professional Course (Engineering and Technology: Biotechnology, Biochemical, Bioprocess, Chemical, Food Technology, Pharmacy etc.) selected through a process described through any one of the following:-
1. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR –UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
2. The Selection process through National level examinations conducted by central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc. Knowledge of microbial fermentation, basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, cloning, DNA sequencing, protein analysis, electrophoresis), enzyme kinetics and chromatographic analysis is desirable.

Selection Process
Preliminary shortlisting will be based on the form submissions and telephonic conversation within a week of the application deadline. For the final interview, the candidate will be informed through e-mail. No TA/DA will be provided in case of a personal interview.
Accommodation : Hostel accommodation will be provided, subject to availability, and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate. The selected candidate will get a chance to apply for the PhD Program at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus (Rules of PhD program for BITS Pilani are applicable).
