PESIMSR is a well established Medical College with an attached 750 Bed Hospital containing state-of-the-art facilities providing wonderful work experience and training opportunities.  India, the world’s biggest democracy, ranks eleventh in the world in terms of the size of its economy with the GNP equivalent to US$471 billion, but ranks 162nd in the world in terms ofGNP per capita (US$460).  India is now going through an epidemiological transition, where infectious diseases are receding as causes of adult morbidity and mortality, whereas non-infectious diseases are assuming menacing proportions. The risk factors associated with changing lifestyle have increased the mortality rate because of coronary heart diseases, diabetes, hypertension and neurological disorders.

Bodoland University was established by Bodoland University Act 2009, passed in the Assam legislative Assembly. The present Bodoland University is an up-gradation of the Kokrajhar campus of Gauhati University to a full fledged state University as per the provision of the Act. A memorable advance was made in the development of local self Govt. in Baroda State in the year 1892, when Sudharai Nibandh Municipal Act was passed by his highness Late Shri Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad. It recoginsed for the first time the elective principal in Baroda Municipal Govt. Under this Act, the city was devided into 22 wards, each to elect one member to the Municipal Baroda.
