AMC, Health Dispensary Department announces Pharmacists Openings

For the direct recruitment of Assistant Junior Pharmacist for the Health Dispensary Department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, online applications are invited from the candidates with the prescribed qualifications only on 10/03/2026 at 23.59 hrs.

Educational Qualification : Registered Pharmacist of a recognized institution

Current Fixed : Pay Rs. 40,800/- for three years, thereafter, after considering the performance evaluation, Level-5 Pay Matrix Rs.  Basic + other allowances as per rules in the grade of 29200/92300.

Age Limit : The candidate's age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 45 years as on the last date of application, unless he is working in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

Note : The above recruitment is only for Divyangjan candidates, candidates of any category other than Divyangjan will not have to apply. Otherwise, their application will be rejected. If a candidate of any category other than Divyangjan applies and the application fee is paid, the fee will not be refunded by A.M.C. under any circumstances. Please take special note of this.

Important instructions to be taken into account by the candidate while applying online for the above post
1. As per Sta. Committee Resolution No.: 692 dated 29/09/2023 and Municipal Board Resolution No.: 597 dated 30/10/2023, candidates belonging to the Divyangjan category will not have to pay the application fee.  
2. The details filled by the candidate in the online application form will be considered final for the entire recruitment process and the evidence thereof will have to be presented in original (including certified copies) when requested by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. If any change or difference is found in the details filled in the online application form and evidence during the verification of certificates, the candidature will be considered cancelled.  
3. The candidate will have to keep more copies of the passport size photograph uploaded in the online application form and will have to present the same photograph at the time of recruitment process (written examination / interview / etc.).  
4. A candidate can apply only once for a cadre. In case of more than one application for a cadre, only the last online confirmed application will be valid. The Hon. Municipal Commissioner will have the authority to decide on the cancellation of the remaining applications and the fee paid will not be refunded.  Age, qualification and experience will be considered as on the last date of receipt of online applications.
5. Age, qualification and experience will be considered as on the last date of acceptance of online application.
6. If the grade is mentioned in the mark sheet, degree certificate, its equivalent in percentage, the conversion table of a recognized university will have to be submitted.  
7. Only the experience after obtaining the educational qualification / degree as asked in the advertisement will be considered valid. Experience before that will not be considered valid under any circumstances. At the time of verification of original certificates, the candidate will have to submit a certificate with the period of experience (days, months, years) and type of duties performed / details of experience obtained along with the inward / outward number and date of the recognized institution in support of the experience mentioned in the application. Only the offer letter or appointment letter will be considered invalid as proof of experience but if it is accompanied by the increment or promotion order given by the institution from time to time, salary related evidence or other supporting evidence, after sufficient verification, such experience will be considered valid if it is found appropriate.   
9. An employee working in A.M.C.O. will have to produce the last month's pay slip at the time of verification of original certificates. In addition, if he has worked in more than one post, then a copy of the promotion or selection order must be produced.
10. As per the roster opinion, the reserved caste candidate mentioned in the list will have to submit a certificate regarding his caste (Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Socially and Educationally Backward Class and Economically Weaker Section (EWS/EWS)) issued by the competent authority of the Government in the format prescribed by the Government of Gujarat. The serial number and date of the said certificate must be mentioned in the online application.

11. As per the roster opinion, in the case of candidates belonging to the reserved caste, Scheduled Tribe, Socially and Educationally Backward Class and Economically Weaker Section (EWS/EWS) who are originally from Gujarat, relaxation of five (5) years will be given in the upper age limit. No benefit regarding reservation will be available on the basis of the above caste certificate issued by any state other than the state of Gujarat.
12. As per the rules, relaxation of five (5) years will be given to female candidates in the upper age limit.
13. If a female candidate  If one wants to apply in the name of the husband instead of the father, then he/she will have to mandatorily submit a copy of the marriage registration certificate at the time of verification of the original certificates.
14. Whether the reserved caste candidate originally from Gujarat has to apply for a reserved seat or a non-reserved seat? It should be clearly stated in the online application form and if the reserved caste candidates originally from Gujarat apply for a non-reserved seat, then the rules and norms applicable to candidates for non-reserved seats will apply to such candidates.
15. As per the 120 roster opinion, the upper age limit for candidates of each category should not be more than 45 years on the last date of receipt of application with all possible relaxations. Unless in the service of A.M.C.O. 
16. The candidate has provided any incorrect details in the online application or has not followed the recruitment process.
17. The candidate will not be allowed to change the category later in the caste (category) mentioned in the online application.
18. It is mandatory for the candidate to write his mobile number in the appropriate place in the online application form, on which a message regarding recruitment can be given in the future. If the correct mobile number is not written. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation will not be responsible for the message not reaching the candidate whose mobile service is off.
17. No written correspondence will be sent to the candidates regarding the recruitment process of the said post. Please note this. Candidates are requested to keep visiting the A.M.C.O. website ahmedabadcity gowin for information regarding the further recruitment process of this post.
20.  Candidates will have to appear for the written test/interview at their own expense.


21. The rights of selection process shall be vested in the Staff Selection Committee/Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation as determined by the competent authority and the decision of this Committee/Municipal Commissioner shall be final.
22. The appointment of the selected candidate will be subject to such conditions as the authority may decide.  
23. If any details are found wrong in the online application by the candidate or if it is found wrong at any stage of the recruitment process, his application will be rejected at that stage and his candidature will be considered cancelled even if he has obtained the passing standard. Also, in future also, if the date of birth, educational qualification, age, caste, experience and other evidence submitted by the candidate at the time of appointment is found wrong or suspicious, appropriate legal action will be taken against him and if the appointment has been made by the selection of such a candidate, the appointment will be cancelled at any stage.  24. Pressure brought directly or indirectly on the members of the Staff Selection Committee will result in the disqualification of the candidate.  
25.  If the need arises to cancel or modify the given advertisement for any reason, then Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation shall have the full right/authority to do so and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation shall not be bound to give reasons for this. 
26. The recruitment process for the said vacant posts will be subject to the roster rules in force at that time.
