Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines, offering B.Tech., B.Des., BSc(Hons), M.Tech., M.Des., M.Sc., MBA, M.A. and Ph.D. programmes. Within a short period of time, IIT Guwahati has been able to build up world class infrastructure for carrying out advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments.

Qualifications : Essential qualifications include Ph.D in Science or Engineering OR M.Tech with three years research experience from a reputed Institute/University. Experience in Peptide Synthesis, Biophysical Characterization, Molecular Modeling and Simulation tools, in vivo mouse/rat model studies are required.
Desirable qualifications include additional 2 years (total 5 years) experience in research, preferably from top institutes/universities as per ANRF ranking. Candidate must have verifiable, proven credentials in all the essential qualifications.

Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the Walk-in interview. Candidates will not be sent any call letter separately.
