The Institute activities started in the month of April 1970 and continued up to April 1979 under Composite Drug Research Scheme. It was established initially as Regional Research Institute (Ay.) in 1979 with the merger of survey of Medicinal Plants Unit (SMPU), Mobile Clinical Research Unit (MCRU) in addition to Community Health Care Research Programme. The Institute was upgraded as Central Research Institute (Ay.) in 1999. The Institute has shifted to its own building in August 2002. As per the notification of CCRAS dated 15th December 2009, the Institute has been re-upgraded in category A and named as National Research Institute for Ayurveda – Siddha Human Resource Development, Gwalior.

A walk-in interview will be conducted at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Aamkho, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh for the following contractual positions in the Pharmacology section for a period of three years under the project “Preclinical Toxicological Evaluation and Safety Pharmacology of Selected Ayurvedic Formulations: TriphalaChuma, Lashunadi Vati, and Brihat Vata Chintamani Rasa".

Project Scientist I (03 posts)
Essential Qualification : M.V.Sc (Pharmacology / Pathology), MPharm. (Pharmacology) or postgraduate degree in life sciences or equivalent 
Age : Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.01.2026 
Remuneration : Fixed Rs. 56000/month + HRA as admissible
Desirable : Hands-on experience in laboratory animal studies and cell culture techniques.

Project Scientist II (02 posts)
Essential Qualification : M.V.Sc (Pharmacology/Pathology), MPharm. (Pharmacology) or postgraduate degree in Life Sciences or equivalent, with three years of experience, or a Ph.D. in Pharmacology or Life Sciences or equivalent
Age : Not exceeding 40  years as on 01.01.2026 
Remuneration : Fixed Rs. 67000/month + HRA as admissible
Desirable : Industrial or research experience in GLP studies as per OECD guidelines. cell culture techniques. and molecular biology techniques, such as Western biot, with supporting documents like publications.

Project Technical Support III (03 posts)
Essential Qualification : Graduate in Life Sciences with three years of experience or Postgraduate in Life Sciences 
Age : Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.01.2026 
Remuneration : Rs.28000/month HRA as admissible
Desirable : Experience in animal handling, histopathology techniques, hands-on experience in performing ELISAs, and maintenance of instruments
Walk in Interview : Date : 07.01.2026 Day : Wednesday Time : 10 AM


General Terms and Conditions
I All educational qualification certificates shall be from a recognized Board University.
2. The duration of the project is 03 years and the engagement will be purely contractual, likely to be extended every 6 months, subjected to satisfactory performance and co-terminus with the project, and no claim for the continuance or regular appointments will be entertained.
3. The candidates should bring original documents along with a set of photocopies at the time of the interview.
4. Age relaxation shall be applicable as per GOI rules
5. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview
6. The AD l/C, RARI Gwalior reserves the right to postpone/cancel the recruitment process at any stage without aligning any reason.
