An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sales Executive to join the Pharmatox and Life Science team at Informa Healthcare. This team is responsible for the publication of 38 high-quality peer-reviewed journals covering drug metabolism and toxicology, drug delivery and cell biology, and are recruiting for a Senior Sales Executive to develop and maximise non-subscription sales for these journals. The successful applicant will have a degree level qualification (preferably in life science or related science area), as well as previous sales experience within the healthcare sector. They will have demonstrable sales skills along with ambition, self motivation and tenacity.

Job Description:
• To sell non-subscription products across the Pharmatox and Life Science portfolio, cross-selling and up-selling every opportunity
• Solicit, develop and manage supplement sales from proposal through to publication and post-sale follow up
• To provide reprint quotations, close sales and manage the production of the reprints post sale
• Develop and implement new ideas for maximising sales outside of the traditional reprint and supplement sale
• To communicate internally to ensure that market and customer feedback is circulated and followed up with Editorial and Production to ensure a cohesive service and approach
• To become a specialist and ambassador of the Pharmatox and Life Science journals
• To meet all agreed Informa Healthcare key performance indicators

Candidate Profile:
You must be educated to degree level (preferably in life science or related science area), have a minimum of 2 years sales experience within the healthcare sector (preferably in a similar role) and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the sales process. You should be ambitious, self motivated and have a naturally inquisitive and persuasive nature. The role will require you to discuss and understand the clients’ needs, and to advise them on the full range of Informa Healthcare products, so the ability to absorb information is vital. In addition, you must be strong in the key transferable skills described below:
• Project management, including the ability to coordinate a number of projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
• Negotiation and persuasion
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise on a daily basis
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Market focus and customer awareness
