Shri G.S. Institute of Technology & Science is a grant in aid autonomous institute of Madhya Pradesh offering UG and PG programmes in Engineering/ Technology/Pharmacy/Applied Sciences & Management. The Institute invites applications in prescribed proforma from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. The reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PH category shall be applicable as per M. P. Government Norms. The qualification and experience shall be as per AICTE (UGC for Science & Humanities) norms.

QUALIFICATION:
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: Bachelors and Masters degree in Pharmacy with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Masters Degree.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100+6000

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: Qualification as above that is for the post of Assistant Professor, as applicable and Ph.D. or equivalent, in appropriate discipline.
Pay Scale: 37400-67000+9000
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching and/or research and/or industry of which at least 2 years shall be post Ph.D. is desirable.

PROFESSOR :
Pharmacy : Qualifications as above that are for the post of
Associate Professor, as applicable.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 + 10000/-
Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D students is highly desirable
Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in teaching and/or research and/or industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.
OR
Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and / or Research and / or Industry.

Note :
1. Equivalence for Ph.D. is based on publication of 5 International Journal papers, each Journal having a cumulative impact index of not less than 2.0, with incumbent as the main author and all 5 publications being in the authors’ area of specialization.
2. Ph.D. shall be from a recognized University.
3. If a class/division is not awarded, minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class/division. If a Grade Point System is adopted the CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks as below.
4. In Pharmacy for U.G. program, the candidates shall have the M.Pharm. Degree qualification in the core branch of specialization namely Pharmaceutics (Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology)/ Pharmacology/ Pharmacognsy/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry commensurate with the need of the department in accordance with the prevailing scheme of syllabi.
5. In all UG program of Engineering and Applied Science and Computer Technology and Application department the candidates with PG degree in the area of specialization commensurate with the need of department in accordance with the prevailing scheme of syllabi shall be preferred.
6. The candidate who have obtained qualifying degrees (UG/PG/Ph.D.) from Institutions approved by AICTE/UGC/PCI as per rule shall only be considered for appointment.
7. Every person recruited on initial post such as Assistant Professor shall be appointed initially for a period of three years on contract. On completion of this period, performance of the candidates shall be reviewed and, if found suitable, he/she shall be offered a regular appointment.
8. The selected candidates will be eligible for Contributory Provident Fund, Mediclaim, Group Insurance, HRA, CCA, however as per the Gazette notification No. 77 dated 05.03.2004 of M.P. State Government, the staff appointed after this notification will not be eligible for Gratuity & EL encashment etc.
9. Deserving candidates, if selected, can be considered on deputation.

APPLICATION PROCEUDRE :
The complete details on prescribed application form together with attested copies of all marks-sheets, certificates and list of publications, etc. accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 750/- for SC/ST candidate of M.P. domicile) in favour of Director, SGSITS, Indore payable at Indore to be submitted by 14.09.2012 to the office of Director, SGSITS, Indore.
Sleeper class TA will be paid to candidates belonging to SC/ST categories of M.P. domicile called for interview as per rules.
Higher starting salary in the pay scales may be considered for deserving candidates having higher qualification/experience.
In case a candidate wants to apply for more than one post or for the same post in different disciplines, then separate application for each post along with Demand Draft towards application fees for each application will have to be submitted.

SC/ST/OBC candidates of outside M.P. shall be considered under unreserved category. The institute reserves the right to call only short listed candidates for interview and to hold interview on priority for a discipline or post Without assigning any reason. . The number of posts may increase or decrease as per the requirement of the institute at the time of interview/appointment.
