Banaras Hindu University ranks among the first few in the country in the field of academic and research output. The University is making its mark at the national and international levels in a number of frontier areas of Science, Social Science, Technology, Medicine and Agriculture etc.
Applications are invited for the post of a JRF/ Project fellow in a DST (Young Scientist) scheme No. P-07-522 entitled, “Synthesis, spectral, structural characterization and screening of the biological activity of transition metal complexes of nitrogen-sulfur ligands.” for a period of 3 years. Monthly stipend will be as per the rule of DST. The post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project.
The minimum qualifications are: M.Sc (Chemistry) with 55 % marks preferably NET/GATE qualified for JRF or M.Sc. (Chemistry) with 55 % marks for Project Fellow.
The upper age limit is 28 years for JRF/Project fellow. A relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit is admissible to SC/ST. Candidates with experience of research in the area of the project will be preferred. All things being equal SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
