The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) is the Central Drug Authority for discharging functions assigned to the Central Government under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. CDSCO has six zonal offices, four sub-zonal offices, 11 port offices and six laboratories under its control.
Under the Drug and Cosmetics Act, the regulation of manufacture, sale and distribution of Drugs is primarily the concern of the State authorities while the Central Authorities are responsible for approval of New Drugs, Clinical Trials in the country, laying down the standards for Drugs, control over the quality of imported Drugs, coordination of the activities of State Drug Control Organisations and providing expert advice with a view of bring about the uniformity in the enforcement of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

Post: Technical Consultant

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has initiated the process of revision of NLEM 2011. For this purpose a Core Committee has been constituted. To assist this Core Committee, a Technical Consultant is required.

Walk - in - interview for the following positions on contractual basis for the period of six months with a fixed emolument as Rs. 50000/-

The job involves assisting the core committee in identifying/ justifying the inclusion/ exclusion of Drugs therapeutic category wise coordinating with experts, making draft minutes/reports and handling correspondence with various stakeholders.

Qualification: MD/ M.Pharma with suitable experience
