The Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, popularly known as the acronym TANUVAS, blossomed on 20.09.1989 as the first Veterinary University of the country, through the Tamil Nadu State Government Act 42 of 1989. The seed for the establishment and growth of TANUVAS was sown as early as 1876, when the Madras Veterinary College was started as an Agricultural School in Chennai to offer diploma and certificate course in the field of veterinary and animal sciences.

A walk-in interview would be held for the selection of one Pharmacist (D. Pharm.) to work in the Self Financing scheme on “Establishment of Retail Pharmacy for the Supply of Veterinary Health Care Products and Supplements in Madras Veterinary College Hospital, Chennai functioning at Directorate of Clinics, Madras Veterinary College Campus, Chennai - 600 007. The post is purely temporary till the end of the scheme.
Remuneration : Consolidated Pay Rs. 20,000/- per month
Qualifications : Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)
• Filled in application in the prescribed format should be brought along with relevant original certificates to the Directorate of Clinics, TANUVAS, Madras Veterinary College Campus, Vepery, Chennai - 600 007 on the day of walk - in interview i.e. on 22.11.2023 at 11.00 A.M
• No TA/DA will be paid for the candidates preferring to attend the interview. Candidates are informed to make own arrangements for their stay for attending interview.
• Mere application for attending the interview does not guarantee them the appointment and the selection will be based purely on merit basis. Candidates are requested to produce all original certificates (diploma certificate, proof of age and experience and other testimonials that certify their competency to work in the Scheme at the time of interview.
• The candidate should have knowledge to speak, read and write English and Tamil.
• The appointment is made purely on temporary basis with a condition to terminate the appointment without giving any prior notice and the candidates should not claim any university service.
