The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER) is an Institute of National importance established by an Act of Parliament under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals,Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute has excellent facilities for advanced education and research in pharmaceutical sciences and is looking for teaching and non- teaching staff of high degree of knowledge and willing to contribute in building this institute as one of the best centres of excellence. Presently the Institute is running M.S (Pharm.) and Ph.D Programmes and planning to expand further.
NIPER-Ahmedabad invites applications from highly qualified young scientists holding Ph.D. in the areas of Pharmaceutical,Biological and Chemical Sciences/Engineering/Technology for the Institute Postdoctoral Fellowships commencing on 30th June, 2017.
Summary
1) The Institute Post-doctoral Fellowship (IPF) is a full-time, contractual, postdoctoral position for highly qualified young scientists to carry out research at NIPERAhmedabad. The duration is for 2 years, extendable by up to one more year on the basis of performance. The Fellowship does not imply any commitment regarding any other position at NIPER-Ahmedabad.
2) The Fellowship carries remuneration of INR 45,000/- per month for the first two years and INR 55,000/- per month in the third year, with no other allowances. Research support grant would be provided as per requirement of the project.
3) The fellow would also be assisting to the teaching programme of the Institute.
4) IPF may not be held concurrently with any other national or international fellowships. It is also not transferable to any other fellowship.
Eligibility
1) Candidates who have a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical, Biological, Biomedical and Chemical Sciences/Engineering/Technology and related areas as applicable are eligible to apply. Those who are in the final stages of their Ph.D. thesis submission are also eligible to apply. (If selected, the candidate must have submitted the thesis at the time of joining IPF.)
2) Age: Below 35 years and within 3 years of the award of Ph.D degree {relaxable by 5 years for women and reserved (SC/ST/ PwD) category}
3) To avoid academic inbreeding applicants having PhD from NIPER-Ahmedabad are not eligible to apply.

Application details:
1. The applicant must submit online application (i.e Application for Research Staff/Faculty-Group A category) on or before 30th, June, 2017.
2. Candidates must submit electronic copies of the following documents in Portable Document Format (PDF) along with the application in the upload section:
o Research Proposal (maximum 1,500 words) including details of the facilities at NIPER-Ahmedabad to be utilised, and research groups/laboratories that the candidate would like to collaborate with.
