Tea is one of the industries, which by an Act of Parliament comes under the control of the Union Govt. The genesis of the Tea Board India dates back to 1903 when the Indian Tea Cess Bill was passed. The Bill provided for levying a cess on tea exports - the proceeds of which were to be used for the promotion of Indian tea both within and outside India. The present Tea Board set up under section 4 of the Tea Act 1953 was constituted on 1st April 1954.

A walk-in-interview will be held on 9th January, 2017 as per following from 11.00 a.m. onward at Tea Board India, 14, BTM Sarani, Kolkata- 700 001 for engaging Two contractual scientists as per followings to work in Quality Control Laboratory, Tea Park, Siliguri purely on temporary basis initially for a period of one year, which may be extended based on performance.

Pesticide Residue Analyst
Educational Qualification and Experience :

M.Sc./Ph.D in Chemistry with knowledge in mass spectroscopy. Person having experience in pesticide residue analysis of tea and handling of LC MSMS, GC MSMS/ICP MS etc. will be given preference.
Nature of duties :
Analysis of Tea Samples for pesticide residues, maintaining the instrumentation facility. Research and other work as assigned from time to time.
Remuneration per month (Consolidated) : Rs. 40,000/-

 

Analytical Bio-Chemist
Educational Qualification and Experience :

M.Sc./Ph.D in Chemistry. Person having experience in analysis of tea and handling of HPLC, Spectrophotometer etc. will be given preference.
Nature of duties :
Analysis of Tea Samples for bio-Chemical parameters of tea, maintaining the instrumentation facility. Research and other work as assigned from time to time.
Remuneration per month (Consolidated) : Rs. 40,000/-

Age: Not more than 35 years as on 01.01.2017

Interested candidates for the above posts are requested to appear in person directly in the interview with application along with bio-data, self-attested copies of certificates, mark sheets and testimonials. Registration for appearing in the interview will be allowed up to 10.30 a.m. No candidate will be allowed for the registration after 10.30 am. If the number of candidates is more, then a short written test will be conducted for preliminary screening of the candidates.
