Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar (A Central University), formerly University of Saugor, was established on 18th July 1946 by Dr. Sir Hari Singh Gour (Nov. 26, 1870 – Dec. 25, 1949). by his lifetime saving. This 18th University of India and the oldest and the biggest  University of Madhya Pradesh has perhaps the singular distinction of being founded by the munificence of a single person's hard earned money of about two crore of rupees.  Apart from being a great jurist and legal luminary par excellence, he was a great Patriot, Philanthropist, Educationist and Social Reformer.

Dr. Harisingh Gour V.V. Sagar invites applications in prescribed format from eligible Indian nationals for engaging as Guest Faculty in the following subjects:

No other emoluments/allowances/Medical reimbursement are admissible. No vacation salary is payable.

Duration of the Engagement:
The order will be issued to the successful candidates, initially for a period of 89 days which may be further extended maximum up to six month on the recommendation of the concerned Dean and the Head.

The University is following the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for the Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff in University and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education 2010 (hereinafter referred as UGC Regulations 2010) as issued and amended from time to time and available also at www.ugc.ac.in

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT

For discipline of Pharmacy:
i. Essential:
a) A basic degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm.)
b) Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactments.
c) First class Master's Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.

ii. Desirable:
a) Teaching, research industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization;
and
b) Papers presented at Conferences and/or refereed journals.

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. These engagements as Guest faculty are purely on temporary basis.
2. The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason.
3. Candidates already in employment would be required to submit a "No Objection Certificate" from the employer prior to the interview, failing which they may not be considered further.
4. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview. More stringent criteria may be applied for short-listing the candidates to be called for interview. Applicants having higher qualification and merit will be given preference.
5. A Relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Master's level for the SC/ST/Differently-abled (Physically and Visually differently abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
6. Only the short-listed candidates shall be allowed for a personal interaction and seminar presentation/performance. The performance in the personal interaction/seminar will be evaluated by a method to be developed by the Selection Committee.
7. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
8. Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized University shall also be considered eligible as computed by UGC norms.
9. The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at the time of engaging Guest Faculty or during the tenure of the engagement. In case, it is detected at any time that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has clandestine antecedents / background and has suppressed or altered the said information, then his/her services shall be terminated immediately and appropriate action shall be initiated as deemed fit.
10. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection of Guest Faculty, which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the University reserves right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidate.
11. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final.
12. Candidates must send self-attested copies of certificates and mark-sheets from matriculation (10th Standard) onwards in support of their qualifications and reprints of publications and certificates in support of their claim for the post along with the hard copy of the application form.
13. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential qualifications laid down in the advertisement.
14. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
15. No interim correspondence shall be entertained.
16. All cases are subject to Sagar court jurisdiction only.
17. Applications received without complete information or without requisite fee will be summarily rejected.
18. The University reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised, if the circumstances so warrant.
19. The contract engagement can be terminated at any time with one month’s notice without assigning any reason. The candidate is also required to give one month’s advance notice or else deposit one month’s salary; in case the candidate is leaving during the contract period.
20. The appointment will not establish any right / claim for regularization/ absorption against any vacant post of the University.
21. There would be no medical reimbursement.

23. The candidates, who applied against advertisement no. DOFA/Guest Faculty/2015/01 dated 15.01.2015 for engagement as Guest Faculty in the departments of Applied Geology, Criminology and Business Management may apply afresh. However, they are exempted from paying application fee provided they submit a proof thereof.
24. The applicant must enclose with application form processing fee of Rs. 250/- for Unreserved/OBC category in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar (M.P.) 470003 payable at State Bank of India, University Branch, Branch Code 1143. SC/ST/PWD candidate are exempted from application process fee.
25. The duly filled in application form must reach to the concerned Head of the Department, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar 470003 (MP) super-scribing.
"Application for the Guest Faculty” on or before 15.01.2016 up to 6.00 P.M.
Applications received after due date will not be considered. The University shall not be responsible for postal loss/delay, if any.
26. The selected candidates will have to join immediately preferably within a week. No TA/DA or accommodation shall be provided for attending the interview.

Last date for submitting the duly filled-in application form to the concerned Head of the Department, is 15/01/2016, 6:00 p.m.
