Job Description:
Job Purpose:
- Build and Develop the India Contract Manufacturing Operations
- Provide Leadership for operational planning and management of supply of quality products for the pharmaceutical business.
- Manage Product Supply through Contract Manufacturing of In-sourcing.
- Leverage existing relationships / develop new for meeting business needs, development and compliance.
- Drive operations to meet Revenue and expense Budgets.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic & Policy
- Formulating Contract Manufacturing policy and operational strategy
- Contract Manufacturing site rationalisation and consolidation of Manufacturing activities
- Establishing a robust performance measurement framework
- Partnering Contract Manufacturer’s towards a value-add culture and effecting continuous improvement.
- Continually keeping abreast with best practices and trends in Contract Manufacturing Industry

Operational
- Identifying, Selection and Management of Contract Manufacturers for Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Business – in alignment with Pfizer manufacturing strategy
- Ensure product supply as per DRP to meet inventory norms and build up reliable supply chain with 100% customer service level targets.
- Guide and oversee capacity planning at Contract Manufacturing sites and decide on facility dedication for specialised products.
- Performance measurement and evaluation of Contract Manufacturers.
- Guide Contract Manufacturers to continually upgrade to meet Pfizer standards of Quality and safety compliance
- Grow existing business and support development of new products.
- Derive vendor development initiatives to improve product cost and quality
- Leveraging IT to streamline CM operations
- Support PGM corporate Quality Audits and Environment Health and Safety Reviews

• Deploy personnel in an optimal manner to maximise productivity
• Organize training for process familiarization & Technology transfer and commercial production.

• Actively develop a second rung of leaders within the function by providing developmental opportunities for colleague’s growth and meaningful engagement.

• Continuously communicates with subordinates and gives feedback on performance
• Demonstrate and promote Pfizer global value system across all interactions.

• Appraise performance on the achievement of targets against predefined objectives and recommend career progression decisions.
• Set targets and objectives jointly for key positions

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Provide
• Manage healthy customer relationships with External and Internal stakeholders by active involvement, participation and feedbacks. It involves interactions with colleagues across all hierarchies within organisation (viz: - Pfizer Global Supplies, Finance, Business Unit Leads, Regulatory and Legal) and large number of Contract Manufacturing sites.

Skills / Knowledge / Qualification / Experience
Qualification
• Degree in Sciences or Pharmacy
• Management Degree / Diploma in Business Administration (preferred)
• 15 – 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical / chemical industry of which 5 years in a similar capacity.
• Experience of managing projects and cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of business strategy and planning
• Experience of matrix and team management

Special Skills & Knowledge:
• Knowledge of machineries and equipment
• Knowledge of Business continuity & Risk mitigation Techniques
• Knowledge of Pfizer structure and relationships
• Knowledge of relevant computer systems
