Job Description
Has operational end to end responsibility for assigned supply acitivity. Leads and manages demanding projects and network activities and participates in cross-functional teams.
1. Being the DSM representative in TRD subteam, drives DS/DP supply process in TRD, ensures key project milestones are met.
2. Creates and updates DS/DP supply plan on global project level, reviews supply plan in TRD subteam and ensures agreements with CHAD/PHAD on DS/DP delivery quanti-ty/timeline.
3. Maintains overall supply plans, optimizing overage/drug usage, minimizing waste, allowing the flexibility to accomodate changing demand.
4. Has key role at DSM demand planning meetings, responsible for coordination of delivery of drug substance, drug product and packaged goods according to plan.
5. Looks for available options for comparators based on Clinical demand, triggers technical feasibility testing and procures selected comparator
6. Plans budget for associated external costs for comparators and commercial drug products and issues related grants and purchase orders.
7. Coordinates and maintains the DSM project budget in SUCCEED (planned and actual costs).
8. Aligns with Trial Manager on clinical supply to ensure that supply meets the changing demand on project level.
9. Supports internal/external inspections and audits.
10. Actively contributes to SOP creation, revision and update.

Candidate Profile
Advanced degree in science, engineering or equivalent Fluent in English, local language desired
1. >4 years of practical experience in chemical / pharmaceutical industry or > 4 years of experience in field of expertise
2. Recognized expertise in related field. Good (IT) application know how.
3. Good knowledge about the Drug Development process
4. Comprehensive knowledge about project management
5. Knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g. GMP, HSE etc.) and Novartis specific standards.
6. Demonstrates cross-functional problem-solving and idea generation skills
7. Advanced presentation skills
8. Good leadership skills
9. Excellent organization and planning skills. Ability to work in interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teams
