Post: Assistant Manager - Procurement
Job Description
- You will develop and prepare the procurement policy based on the global procurement guideline and take steps to educate the employees about the procurement policy/procedures through regular trainings, awareness sessions etc.
- You will work in conjunction with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and propose suitable sourcing strategies and methodologies, influencing business decisions in light of relevant policies and procedures.
- You will drive improvement projects within procurement to maximize the value received from suppliers through category strategy development and supplier relationship management.
- You will control and approve purchase requisitions, new vendor requests etc. and also compile and report local savings.
Candidate Profile
- You are a graduate with at least 5-6 years of experience in Procurement and sourcing preferably indirect procurement
- You have knowledge of market practices pertaining to procurement related to the pharmaceutical industry
- You are able to interact with various stakeholders and present your opinion and recommendations concisely
- You have a drive for continuous improvement and have demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills as well as adaptability to different cultures
- You have experience in writing sourcing specifications and proposing suitable sourcing solutions in a broad range of business areas.
