The year was 1993 when T. John College with its premises in Campbell Road, Austin Town, Bangalore – 47 begun. The college started by Dr. Thomas P John, offered a 3 year BHM (Hotel Management) Degree course to 24 students to start with.  The college also offered the BBM and BSc (CMS) courses. Since a humble beginning in 1993, there has been no looking back and every year the college crosses new milestones. Two decades later the college premises has expanded to include new departments and blocks and spread over an area of 20 acres of land. Cosmopolitan and secular in ethos and philosophy. T. The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established as the Department of Chemical Technology on 1st October 1933 by the University of Mumbai, through active support of industries and philanthropists. The Institute was most popularly known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first generation entrepreneurs. The UDCT grew significantly in stature and was granted autonomy under UGC regulations by the University of Mumbai and further converted into an Institute on 26th January 2002. Under the World Bank TEQIP programme, the Maharashtra government granted it full autonomy in June 2004.

Rungta College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (RCPSR), Bhilai, managed by GDR Educational Society has been started in 2006.  It is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai, and approved by PCI and AICTE. The courses offered by the institute include D. Pharm., B. Pharm., and M. Pharm. The institute is also an approved Research Center by the CSVTU. RCPSR has recently been accredited by NBA (UG programme) and NAAC. The GDR Educational Society received prestigious SIRO recognition by DSIR. Very recently, the institute received DST FIST grant.
