Bombay College of Pharmacy is a pioneering institution in Pharmaceutical education in India. BCP was founded in 1957 by the Indian Pharmaceutical Association - Maharashtra State Branch (IPA-MSB) with financial assistance from the Government of Maharashtra and several pharmaceutical corporations. Since its inception as a college offering a Diploma in Pharmacy, the college has grown in stature and at present offers Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral programs of study in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTIPS) was established as constituent organization of CT group of Institutes, under the crown of CT Educational society in Year 2004 in Jalandhar (Punjab), with ambition of becoming “Center of Excellence” in Pharmaceutical Education and Research, in Punjab and Northern India. Jalandhar city is easily accessible by road and rail from all parts of the country. The Institute is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) as well as by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. In the initial voyage, CTIPS acquired its milestone by getting the status of ISO-9001:2008 certification from United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS), UK. The Institute is running B. Pharmacy (4 year degree course), M. Pharmacy (2 year PG course) in three specializations i.e. Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacology.

Bharat institute of Technology-Pharmacy (BIT) was established in the year 1999 by the CHMR Educational Society with the noble aim of imparting quality Pharmacy education to students aspiring to become responsible pharmacists and to cater to the needs of pharmacy profession. Sikkim became an integral part of the Indian Union in May, 1975. The Constitutional Provision under Article 315 to have a Public Service Commission for the State was fulfilled by constituting a State Public Service Commission in the year 1978. The Public Commission has actually started functioning from 1982 with the appointment of the Chairman and deputation of the staff from the State Government.
