The Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory Guwahati is the one of the five National Laboratory of the Govt of India for quality control of Drugs and Cosmetic and is established under the Indian Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940 functioning under administrative control of the Drugs Controller General of India and sub ordinate office under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

L.R Institute of pharmacy was established in the year 2006 to impart high quality education in the field of pharmacy. The College is running B.Pharm & M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics, approved by AICTE and affiliated to H.P.T.U Hamirpur. B.Pharm course is approved by Pharmacy Council of India. The College provides a stimulating and productive environment for Pharmaceutical education and research.

Krupanidhi College is a Christian institution managed by Krupanidhi Educational Trust. Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) is a University under section 2(f) of the University Grant Commission (U.G.C.)
