The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is an autonomous Grant-in-aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy. The TMC is comprised of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) and the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH). Central Drugs Testing Laboratory, Mumbai is statutory laboratory working under administrative control of Drugs Controller General (I), CDSCO, DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi. The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) is the Central Drug Authority for discharging functions assigned to the Central Government under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. CDSCO has six zonal offices, four sub-zonal offices, 13 port offices and seven laboratories under its control.

The contractual period may be reduced or extended at the sole discretion of the management (CDSCO-HQ). During the contract period the service can be terminated without any notice or without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
