Job for Pharmacist at CMHO Surguja

Approval has been granted for the contractual recruitment of sanctioned human resources (for service provider and program management positions) within the district under the National Health Mission, Chhattisgarh. These contractual appointments—covering district-level programs and specific vacant posts are to be valid until March 31, 2027. The recruitment process will be conducted according to the schedule below.

Salary : Rs 16,500/- pm

Education Qualification : Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy and Live Registration in Pharmacy Registration Council.


Regarding the Application Form
1. Applicants must be residents of Chhattisgarh; a certificate issued by the competent authority must be attached to this effect.
2. All educational and other qualifications must be met as of the date of the advertisement; otherwise, the application will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be accepted in this regard. Under no circumstances will any certificate submitted after the last date for application be accepted. Therefore, ensure that all certificates proving eligibility are attached with the application; otherwise, the application will not be considered.
3. Age Limit: As on January 1, 2026, the minimum age should be 18 years and a maximum of 64 years for managerial positions and 70 years for medical positions.  Age will be calculated as of January 1, 2026.
4. All positions are purely contractual and subject to the Contract Human Resource Policy 2018 (as amended) under the National Health Mission, Chhattisgarh.
5. Applicants must include their designation, program name, and category (Unreserved/OBC/Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe) when submitting their applications.
6. Interested applicants residing in Chhattisgarh may submit their applications in the prescribed format, along with self-attested documents, to the Office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer, Ambikapur, Surguja, by the due date/time.
7. The department/office will not be responsible for any delay in receiving applications after the release of the advertisement, or for any other reason. Applications will not be accepted/considered, nor will any representation be entertained in this regard.

8.  Incomplete, unclear, or erroneous applications will not be considered, and attachment of unnecessary documents will result in rejection. The applicant will be responsible for this.
9. Candidates must submit the application form and all required documents together, tied with a tag (string).
10. Educational qualification certificates will only be valid. Those from institutions recognized by the Government/UGC/AICTE.
11. It is mandatory to attach a valid and active registration certificate from the C.G. Council (relevant to the subject) or the District Employment Office.
12. This appointment will be on a contractual basis for one financial year and will be purely temporary. The appointed employee's performance will be evaluated annually. The contract period will be extended only if the annual performance evaluation is found to be satisfactory.
13. The District Level Selection Committee shall have the authority to determine the eligibility or ineligibility of applicants based on their qualifications during the said recruitment process.

Candidates must submit self-attested photocopies of the following documents along with their application. Additionally, upon reporting for duty after appointment, they must present the original copies of the aforementioned documents along with one self-attested photocopy of each:
• 10th-grade mark sheet (as proof of date of birth).
• 12th-grade mark sheet.
• Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree or certificate (for all years).
• Degree/Diploma regarding mandatory technical/educational qualifications as per eligibility criteria (for all years).
• Valid registration certificate from the Chhattisgarh Council (relevant to the specific subject).
• Caste certificate issued by a competent authority (if applicable).
• (To avail the benefits of the reserved category, OBC candidates must submit an income certificate issued within the last three years.)
• Caste certificate under the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) category (if applicable).
• Domicile certificate (issued by a competent authority).
• Valid registration certificate from the District Employment Office.
• Disability certificate (UDID) (issued by a competent authority), if applicable.
• Personal identification (ID proof, passport-sized photograph) and proof of address.
• Other specific documents (as required).
• Experience/No Objection Certificate: Only certificates from government institutions, public sector undertakings, government-aided institutions (such as SHRC), or public sector undertakings will be considered valid.

General Conditions and Guidelines Regarding Recruitment
1. Merely submitting an application will not ensure selection. Original certificates will be verified before the final selection list is released. Only if found correct will further selection proceedings be initiated. Even after selection, if any letter/certificate or other error is discovered on either side (either side), dismissal from service will be initiated as per rules.
2. Contract Honorarium: A lump sum honorarium will be payable every month during the contract period; no other allowances/benefits will be payable.
3. The contract appointment may be terminated at any time after the selected candidate reports to work by giving one month's notice or by depositing one month's salary. Similarly, the candidate must provide one month's notice before submitting their resignation, otherwise they will be required to deposit one month's salary.
4. In the context of contract recruitment, the reservation rules issued by the Chhattisgarh Government and other instructions/orders/rules issued from time to time, as amended, will apply.
5. Candidates possessing special reservation eligibility (reservation for persons with disabilities/ex-servicemen/women will be as per rules) must attach relevant documents issued by the competent authority. Otherwise, such candidates will be included in the general category if the certificate is not attached to the application form.

6. Caste Certificate:
6.1 If a candidate is a local/native resident of Chhattisgarh and falls under the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class (non-creamy layer) category and is applying for the reservation/exemption benefits specified in this advertisement, a permanent caste certificate issued by the competent authority must be submitted.
6.2 Married female candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste must submit a caste certificate with their father's name along with their own name. Failure to submit the caste certificate will not be considered.
6.3 Candidates residing outside Chhattisgarh (in other states) who are considered Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class in their respective states will be considered for the same posts advertised for unreserved category candidates as unreserved category candidates, not for reserved posts. Such candidates will have to select the unreserved category as their category.
6.4 Reservation benefits are available to candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes of Chhattisgarh only if they belong to the non-creamy layer. To be considered non-creamy layer, along with the caste certificate, an income certificate issued within the last three years from the date of publication of the first provisional list must be submitted with the application.
6.4.1 Regarding government servants, action was taken in accordance with the instructions issued by the General Administration Department.
6.4.1 Action regarding government servants will be taken in accordance with the directives issued by the General Administration Department; for this purpose, the candidate must submit verified copies of all orders related to the initial appointment and promotion of their mother and father in service at the time of document verification.
6.4.2 Candidates whose father has passed away must submit an income certificate issued in the name of their mother; if both parents have passed away, they must submit an income certificate issued in their own name or that of their guardian, along with the death certificates of both parents.
6.4.3 Candidates whose parents are divorced must submit the divorce decree; if the parents have been living separately for several years without a formal divorce, an affidavit regarding the separation of the parents must be submitted. Married female candidates must submit an income certificate issued in their father's name.
7. "As per the letter (No. F 13-19/2012/G.A.D./1-3, Naya Raipur, dated 20/02/2014) from the Additional Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, General Administration Department, a special provision (up to a limit of 20%) exists for members of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) of Chhattisgarh state. If they meet the prescribed minimum qualifications for Class III (non-executive) and Class IV posts, they may be granted direct appointment against vacant Scheduled Tribe posts without undergoing the standard selection process." To avail the benefit of this special provision, it is mandatory to submit a certificate issued by the government.
* Regarding reservation in this recruitment process, the final order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, New Delhi, in the S.L.P. ...  (c) Shall be subject to [Case/File] No. 19668/2022.

8. The said contractual post shall be non-transferable, and it shall be mandatory to report for duty at the place of posting specified in the appointment order. Failure to report at the designated place of posting within the stipulated time shall result in the automatic cancellation of the selected candidate's appointment.
9. Only applications from candidates possessing the qualifications prescribed for the advertised post shall be accepted.
10. Mere selection for the applied post does not confer a right to appointment. Final appointment shall depend on the actual availability of vacant posts and other necessary procedures/criteria.
11. If, at any stage of the selection process, it is found that a candidate is exerting pressure of any kind or attempting to influence the impartial selection process, their application will be declared invalid, and no claims in this regard will be entertained.
12. Candidates previously dismissed from government service will not be eligible for selection.
13. Candidates whose services were terminated by the National Health Mission or any other government department due to indiscipline, financial irregularity, or misconduct—regardless of the post held—will be categorized as ineligible.
14. Candidates currently employed in government or semi-government institutions must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by their employer. Only a signed certificate issued by the employer will be accepted for awarding experience marks.
15. COVID-19 bonus marks will be awarded in accordance with the rules only upon submission of an authorized experience certificate issued by the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO).
17. The number of notified vacancies may be reduced, increased, or cancelled due to administrative reasons; the authority to do so rests with the Appointing Authority/Chairperson of the Selection Committee.
18. In the absence of suitable/eligible candidates, the Selection Committee may cancel the recruitment and re-advertise the post.
19. In the event of any legal dispute arising from the recruitment process, the legal jurisdiction shall be the Sarguja (Ambikapur) District Court.
20. The Appointing Authority/Chairperson of the Selection Committee, District Sarguja (C.G.), reserves the sole right to make the final decision regarding any dispute or issue arising during the recruitment process; this decision shall be final and binding on all applicants.

Eligible candidates who are residents of Chhattisgarh must submit clear and error-free applications in the prescribed format via Registered Post or Speed Post to the Office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer, Ambikapur, District Surguja (C.G.) by the stipulated deadline. The department will not be held responsible if applications are not received by the specified date and time.
