AIIMS, Rishikesh is one of the SIX AIIMS like apex healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). With the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training the PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.

G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is the first agricultural university of India. It was inaugurated by Jawahar Lal Nehru on 17 November 1960 as the Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University (UPAU). Later the name was changed to Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in 1972 in memory of the great freedom fighter Govind Ballabh Pant. The University was declared as the best among all the other State Universities in India, in 1997. The University lies in the campus-town of Pantnagar in the district of Udham Singh Nagar in the state of Uttarakhand. The university is regarded as the harbinger of Green Revolution in India.

No. HNBGU/ADMN/Recruitment-01/2011 and 02/2011 for the post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor under the SCHOOL of ARTS, COMMUNICATION AND LANGUAGES, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES, COMMERCE, EARTH SCIENCES, AND IN THE DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED SCIENCES OF SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING, PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY, PROFESSOR IN MANAGEMENT AND ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN EDUCATION are also required to apply again in the prescribed application form and make payment of Rs. 50/- as re-registration fee , however they are exempted from application fee of Rs. 500/ for UR/OBC category or Rs. 300/ for SC/ST/PWD category.
