Smt. Sharadchandrika Suresh Patil College of Pharmacy Chopda was established in 1992 as self financed pharmacy college in the North Maharashtra University, (NMU) Jalgaon. The institution has made a steady progress during last 24 years. In the year 2006 with the intention of making this institution a centre of higher learning, started M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutics (2006) later M. Pharm in Pharmacognosy (2007) and centre for Ph. D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2011). All the courses conducted in this Institution are recognized by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), have been created as a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences.

Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), an apex body in the national forestry research system, has been undertaking the holistic development of forestry research through need based planning, promoting, conducting and coordinating research, education and extension covering all aspects of forestry. The Council deals with the solution based forestry research in tune with the emerging issues in the sector, including global concerns such as climate change, conservation of biological diversity, combating desertification and sustainable management and development of resources. Topical research by the Council enhances public confidence in the ability of forest managers and researchers to successfully handle challenges related to natural resource management.

The courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi which is the apex body controlling technical education in the country. At College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Puri, D. Pharm, B. Pharm and M.Pharm Programmes have the approval of Pharmacy Council of India. Recognition by these regulatory bodies bears testimony to the high standards of infrastructure and academic excellence prevailing in this college. The proximity of the college to many pharmaceutical Industiries in the Kolkata, Goa, Baddi, Hyderabad etc. helps students in training and placements.
