The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission(IPC) is an Autonomous Body ,set up under the ministry of Health & family Welfare primarily with the objective of periodically updating of the Indian Pharmacopoeia, the book of standards for the drugs; the National Formulary of India, the book of reference on the Drugs; and other related tasks such as preparing, certification and distribution of reference substance; assist the National Pharmacovigilance Programme; testing of new drugs and review of technical dossier of drugs for purpose of monograph development for Indian Pharmacopoeia. It promotes rational use of medicines through generic prescriptions. The IPC on path of evolving as a modern scientific institution of international standard

Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants is a research institute of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research with its headquarter in Lucknow. It is engaged in the field of science and business of medicinal and aromatic plants.

Eligible and interested candidates  may  attend the Interview for  engagement  on  purely  temporary   basis  as   Project  Assistants  of  different  level/JRF/RA-Projects   on  contract  basis  in  the   Projects  under  CSIR   Network Scheme, Grant-in-aid Projects and other projects sponsored by Govt. Walk -in -interview  for  the  position  of  Research  Associate  (RA),  Senior  Research  Fellow  (SRF)  and  Junior  Research  Fellows   (JRF) purely on contractual basis will be held on   as per detail given below in the Board Room of FRI Main Building, P.O. New Forest,  Forest Research Institute, Dehradun –  248006.  Interested and eligible candidates must bring the copy of bio-data along with recent passport  size  photograph,  self  attested  copies  of  all  educational  certificates  and  relevant  documents  for  submission  to  the  o ffice  of  Group   Coordinator Research (RCS), P.O.  New Forest, FRI, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). No separate letter will be issued for attending the interview.   No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview .  Candidates are requested to report at  09.00A.M in  the Board Room.

As a tribute to the founder Dr. Sam Higginbottom, who through his sincere services, hard work and dedication has contributed greatly towards enhancing the agriculture production in our Country, a proposal was submitted to Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi to re-christened Allahabad Agricultural Institute-Deemed University as “Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences”. In view of the above, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi vide communication bearing reference No. F.13-7/2008-U.3.A, dated September 22, 2009 has permitted Re-Christening of the Allahabad Agricultural Institute-Deemed University as: “SAM HIGGINBOTTOM INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE, TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCES” (Formerly Allahabad Agricultural Institute), (Deemed-to-be-University).
