The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar is an autonomous Institute of National importance set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers by an Act of Parliament, to impart higher education and undertake advanced research in the field of Pharmaceutical sciences, technology and management.
The Institute intends to fill the following Faculty posts on direct recruitment basis
Associate Professor (Pharmaceutical Management)

Educational Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. in Management from premier business schools and first class or equivalent grade in MBA (Pharm.) or MBA or M.Com. with marketing as specialization with a very good academic records throughout and at least 8 years of teaching / research / industrial experience with published work of high quality.
Area of expertise : In the area of Marketing including Pharmaceutical Marketing, International Marketing, Industrial & Service Marketing, Pharmaceutical Product Management, Pharmaceutical Brand Management, Advertising and Marketing Research.
Assistant Professor (Medicinal Chemistry)

Pay Matrix (As per 7th CPC) : Level-12 (Academic Pay Level) (Rs.1,01,500-1,67,400)
Educational Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least 5 years of teaching/ research/industrial experience with published work of high quality in the relevant area of research as mentioned below :
Area of expertise : Strong background in peptide chemistry, peptide-based biomaterials, including foldamers and hydrogels.
OTHER AMENITIES/ALLOWANCES :
Selected candidates shall be entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Reimbursement Facility and other allowances as applicable to NIPER faculties. In addition, the faculty of the Institute shall be given the following special allowances to help them in their professional development :
Membership of professional societies/procurement of journals : Every faculty member shall get 50% subsidy on the cost of membership or of the journals up to a maximum of Rs. 5,000/- per year.
Book Allowance : Every faculty member shall get a book allowance up to maximum of Rs. 5,000/- per year. The books shall ultimately form a part of the Institute’s Library accession.
Contract research & consultancy : The Institute encourages the faculty members to undertake consultancy work or work on sponsored projects.
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Candidate of only Indian nationality can apply for these posts.
2. Candidates are required to mandatorily apply in ONLINE mode. Applications not filled out online and simply received in hard copy format or any other mode will not be entertained by the Institute and will be summarily rejected.
3. The last date for receipt of online application form shall be the date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and experience for the positions mentioned in the advertisement. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions only.
4. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill or partially fill any of the above vacancies without assigning any reasons whatsoever. The Institute also reserves the right to cancel/restrict/modify/alter the recruitment process, if required, without assigning any further notice or assigning any reasons thereof. The decision of the Institute in this regard will be final and binding on all the applicants who responded to this advertisement.
5. Candidates should carefully read the required minimum essential qualifications, age and eligibility, experience criteria etc. laid down in the advertisement before applying on-line for advertised post. Since all the applications will be screened on the basis of data submitted by the candidate in the online application form, the candidates must satisfy themselves of the suitability for the position to which they are applying. If at any stage during the recruitment and selection process or later, it is found that candidates have furnished false/ wrong/misleading information, their candidature will be rejected and action will be taken as per rules.
6. Qualification and experience of the candidates should be in the relevant specialization/department as per the advertisement for which the posts have been advertised.
7. The prescribed Essential Qualification/Experience indicated are the bare minimum, and mere possession of the same will not entitle candidates to be called for interview. The candidates should, therefore, furnish details of all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed, along with documentary evidence. The Institute also reserves the right to adopt any additional shortlisting criteria over and above the advertised criteria to restrict the reasonable number of candidates participating further in the recruitment process.
8. All appointments under Direct Recruitment are regular in nature on temporary basis with an initial probation period of two (02) years. The same shall be confirmed depending upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent as per rules.
9. The post advertised shall accrue all benefits at par with Central Government Employees. In addition to the usual pay and allowances as admissible vide 7th Pay Commission; other benefits such as Leave Travel Concession, Medical Reimbursement Facility, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowances etc. are also available as per NIPER Act and Statutes.
10. The Institute shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at any time, including the tenure of the service. In case it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, then his services shall be liable to be terminated.
11. As NIPER Mohali is an Institute of national importance, it strives to have a gender balance workforce that reflects an all-India character. Hence, candidates from all over the country and female candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
12. Qualifications acquired by the candidates should be strictly in accordance with the qualifications prescribed for the post. Any candidate seeking a claim of equivalence of the qualifications with the notified one will have to furnish documentary evidence supporting their claim at the time of representations sought by the Institute. Otherwise, such cases will be rejected.
13. Candidates who will be called for Interview must produce original documents supporting all the particulars mentioned in their application form regarding their reservation category, educational qualification, experience, NOC (if applicable) and other claims. Without original documents the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the selection process.
14. Selected candidate may be posted and/or transferred to any department at any time during their service at the discretion of the competent authority.
15. The applicants serving in Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous organizations must send the hard copy of online filled application along with relevant documents ‘Through Proper Channel’. Such candidates are required to attach No Objection Certificate (NOC)-cum-Vigilance Clearance Certificate in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-A) duly issued by their present organization.
16. Candidates serving in Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous organizations, while forwarding the hard copy of online filled application through proper channel are also required to attach experience certificate, clearly mentioning – date of joining or date of promotion (as the case maybe) along with period of employment, Pay Level or Grade Pay held at different positions, nature of job / duties dispensed in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-B). Experience certificate should be on the organization letterhead bearing the issuing authority’s signature and seal.
17. The applications received in response to advertisement shall be scrutinized by a committee and only shortlisted candidates shall be called for selection process viz. presentation and interview. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for selection process. The Institute reserves the right to place reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called for presentation and interview.
18. Shortlisted candidates serving in Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous organizations are required to submit duly certified copies of last 5 years APAR at the time of interview.
19. The mode of selection for the post will be presentation and interview or any other process as may be decided by the Competent Authority.
20. Decision of the Institute in all matters relating to eligibility of the candidates and selection process viz. presentation and interview would be final and binding upon all the candidates and no correspondence or personal inquiries shall be entertained.
21. Age relaxation / reservation policy wherever applicable will be as per Government of India guidelines. The candidates are required to attach valid proof/certificate etc. for claiming relaxation as per guidelines prescribed by the Government of India from time to time.
22. Since, these posts are advertised under Unreserved category, therefore, no age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC candidates.
23. Age relaxation for PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates is applicable as per Government of India norms.
24. As per the decision of the Board of Governors of the Institute in its 79th meeting dated 22.03.2023, 5 years one time age relaxation is available to the regular employees of NIPER- SAS Nagar subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria.
25. Candidates on direct selection shall be governed by New Pension Scheme of Central Government made effective from 01-01-2004.
26. In accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, candidates applying for the advertised posts must have a working knowledge of Hindi.
27. The names, addresses, occupations, contact numbers and email IDs of three referees must be given in the application form. At least two of them should be Reporting Officer(s) and/or Employer in the previous and present employment(s) and should be familiar with the nature of duties.

31. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
32. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. The result of shortlisted candidates shall be uploaded on website. No written or speed post communications shall be sent separately, and no claims of any kind shall be entertained in this regard. Therefore, the candidates are advised to check NIPER website and their e-mails regularly.
33. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the Interview.
34. Candidate should keep their email id & mobile no. provided in the application form active. Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt / delay in receipt of any communication due to deactivation of email id and or mobile number given or due to change in address etc.
35. Candidates are required to visit the Institute website regularly as any subsequent information/corrigendum/addendum etc. shall be published on the Institute website only. Institute will not be responsible in any manner, if a candidate fails to visit the website in time.
36. While filling online application form, candidate should take due care as no editing in the data filled will be allowed and no correction by the Institute will be done. Application once submitted will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances. Therefore, please keep all data/details ready before you start filling up the application form.
37. Candidates are advised in their interest to submit online applications much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date (07.09.2026) till 05:00 p.m. to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability or failure to log in to the website on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days.

41. It may be noted that submission of hard copy of the online filled application form along with other requisite self attested photocopies of the relevant documents is mandatory. Only online submitted application form/hard copy received after 21.09.2026 will not be entertained and will be rejected summarily.
42. Candidates are advised to fill their correct and active e-mail address in the online application form, as all correspondences including admit card for interview to the short-listed candidates shall be sent by the Institute through email only. No separate letter (hard copy) will be sent through post for this purpose.
